Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
This was a little Noir experiment on minimalism [or something] because my work is always hechtic...tho if i were to keep working on this one it wuold have been covered in MTL goodness...at the time i wanted to just take a break
in the end i think this is a kind of failed experiment. i quickly tried to make a design where it looked fine in any direction [upsidedown and flipped] meh didnt really work out
i might reuse the pictures from this in another wallpaper tho...dont be surprised >_> the Noirness may never end

btw, why does only that chick (rika?) have boarders around her? that creates inconsistency...
and, this might be just a feeling, but looks to me like you used a bit lower quality scans
once more id like to point out that you made a 1600x1200, but as far as i can tell only 1100x1200 is really filled with some content... so thats umm... 68% coverage, the rest is as it wasnt there
I like your wallpapers, they're..fresh. Yet, the reason they're not being succesful, I think, is probably because you're attempting a technique that usually involves vectoring, without vectoring ANYTHING. just a thought.
Lots of Noir I see. I like this though, especially how the images are down the middle. It is a little fuzzy though, all it needs is a little clean up and the wall would be awsome.
I like you're style, it's interesting and something new but I agree with minstrelknight. The look you're going for really requires some vectoring if you want to achieve a high quality wall that will attract a lot of attention. You've got potential you just need to work on the quality details.
A nice mixture of character pics, but im not sure about the red shadows though, it looks like the picture is splashed with blood, but thats just my personal view
I love the simplicity of the wall. the images go so well together in their positions. hm... people are suggesting vectoring, but I don't think you should except if you really need the image quality to be better. yes vectoring takes more effort and you may get more response, but vectoring can destroy the original art. I think it's over done, and you don't want to lose your originality to that...

My favourite thing on this wall are the colours. To be honest the scan quality doesn't really bother me, although I do think it would look a bit crisper if they were clean. But it's still cool. Yo.
