This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Nah, I don't want new ones I need these ones to break in more. But my left thumb is really hurting right where the knuckle is >.< I guess I have some bad habits on my left hand.
I really wanted to try out grunge and fantasy since I don't think I've done either. The reason it's entitled "Elemental Infection" is because you'll see some representations for different elements like wood, water, air, ice and such, and they seem to be getting infected by some sort of virus, which is represented through the grunge work. The girl is also getting infected. I'm sorry if I the wallpaper doesn't fit the girl at all. I haven't watched Shingetsutan Tsukihime yet, and I just wanted a very high quality scan.
Please excuse my grunge work for now, as this is my first try at it. I really like how I made the texts though. smiley This just includes lots of brush work using PS default brushes and some brushes from DeviantArt, different blending modes, and a couple of stock photos from www.sxc.hu.
45 layers. Took about 8 hours in 7 days (in the middle of homework! smiley).

Wow! It's an beautiful wallpaper. The way the darker shades of colors are mixed with the lighter colored swirls are really ell done! I love the mystical feeling the wallpaper has. The character is also very clear and matches wirthe background. It's kinda simple, yet not so much, which is great. Fantastic job!
Too bad there won't be a second season of Tsukihime. These new character designs shown in Melty Blood II looks so promising to watch as additions to the story.
I'm not too fond of the white glow around her, and some of the green blobs (left side of the wallpaper) look a little too bright. Nice background and brush work, though. :)
Very good wallpaper... although I understand the rationale of using such a title but it dont fit that well with the Shingetsutan Tsukihime context.. (She is Ren, not seen in the anime version). Of course I am just nitpicking.. the white outline around her.. but lovely brush work
The colour nd the background is just amazing... they blend together perfectly... its really mysterious in style nd the title is just cooL... i love this wall... good job here.. XD...

Wow i love it!! The bg is done really well and the text definitely matches with it!! Except those 2 strokes of light look a bit out of place to me, maybe cause they are too brite? Like maybe a darker color would look betta....

Oh, this is nice. This is very nice. I love the grungy-ish look, yet it also comes across with that "old photograph" feel. You've integrated the scan perfectly, accenting the edges around the top to remind us where the focus is, yet also slipping in the fact that the scan is, indeed, part of the wall. The colors are perfect, and the scan has a wonderful clarity, yet, it easily makes itself a seamless part of the wall. I really like this one. Beautiful. =D +fav
