Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
For this wallpaper I really wanted to show a dramatic sky to play off the look of longing and dreaming on Clause and Lavi's faces. The sky plays a very important role in Last Exile and represents freedom. It took a bit of work to find a good color combination for the sky and to keep the sky from being too realistic, but I've ended up with something I like.
Total time on this wallpaper was about 10 hours or so, and it's made up of about 35 layers XD This revision is the 10th one, thanks to everyone in Session Zero!

I've been trying to make a wall with this scan for so long, but it never turned out the way I wanted it so it's one of my dead walls. Anyway I really like the addition of the Silvana and the other ship (forgot what they're called >__<) though they seem so tiny in such a vast sky. Prolly what you were going for. I think the effects on the Last Exile font could be just a solid color. I really like the multicolor effect layered on the skies and it makes the overall wall really lovely. Really a great job and I'll fave it cuz it's Last Exile too :)
Fantastic wallpaper! I love the texture of the background! And the colours you used suited the wallpaper very well! The picture of the girl looking into the sky sort of makes the whole wallpaper perfect. You deserve an A on this wallpaper. Good job, keep up the good work!
Wow, congrats on getting accepted ^^ It does look beautiful and breathtaking! The 'soft light' trick really helped bring out the characters and makes this version a little better than the one you last posted in Session Zero~ and the clouds are blended so well! Lovely job, it was worth all the effort :3
Wow, awesome composition. i've been waiting for someone to use that scan and you did an excellent job! i seriously can't find any fault with this (other than characters are smart blurred, but you can't do much about scan quality). i love how the cloud blends with the characters, it looks like they're sitting in the sky. the text has that retro look to it, very stylish.
Great job on this wallpaper. It's really a lot more colorful than the majority of Last Exile wallpapers, and the blending from the scan into the clouds looks really good.
Oh wow! Look at those clouds sooo beautiful! Its as if i'm actually in the sky! Great color work there, nice blending of everything and the scan fits very! I like this one, in fact its a favorite! Good job, hope to see more great walls from u!
Very nice wallpaper! Your sky is beautiful, effets are so pretty, your scan is beautiful to, kids are cute. So nice last exile wall, I really like it, great work keep it up :)
