Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Scanned the image a while back but never bothered to do something with it until my girlfriend saw it. From there, she bugged me like there's no tomorrow to do something with it. So, I spent 2 hours in extracting/touching up the scan and another 4 hours for the abstract BG and text. This one is one of the few that the original PSD file exceeds 50 megs. Not quite up to my usual standards but I still like the outcome nonetheless.

EXCELLENT work on the bg and text. It matches the pictures really well and you chose a good variety of colors too. It gives me a 'busy city' sort of feel. I like it! Keep up the good work!
anyway, about the wally. To be honest, i think you could've done a better job on it, reviewing your older work. It is great nonetheless, but it just doesn't seem to be on the same level than your style work. I'll fav it anyway coz i really like the outcome, but imo, you could've done better :)
It's a shame there aren't many Macross wallpapers. I just love Mikimoto's character design and Kawamori's mecha design... I miss 80's style mecha.
Anyways, the background looks great but it also looks very sharp and detailed. Normally, this is a good thing, but in this case it seems to highlight how the Millia scan isn't very sharp and detailed. Maybe a slightly blurred background would blend the two together better, but I'm no artist.
Overall, a nice looking wallpaper. Thanks!

Love the wall. The universe as a background works really well and the luminous lights look like the inside of a galaxy. The whole image is just beautiful.
