To go with the theme of independence day here in the United States(which happens to be this tuesday). I've made a wallpaper after another eon.

Asuka scan from here, on Animepaper.
City, and all three fireworks stock photos were taken from sxc.hu.

Comments and Suggestions appreciated. I need some help getting my rear back in gear for walling.

EDIT: Removed the overbearing texture. I didnt realize it sucked so much last night. :3 Keep the suggestions coming! x3

The fireworks are great, but as a canadian, this is kinda useless to me. Think you could do a version that says "Canada Day" for us canucks? :)

A nice idea, but I sorta think that the background is far too realistic for the foreground. You should have probably made it look more of a drawing than of a photo. Besides I kinda don't like the .. texture? on Asuka's back.

However the composition overall is pretty and I like the idea of it a lot.

I do hope for a better wallpaper next time though (sorry if this sounds harsh :( )

I like teh idea! is wonderfull, but a fell something missing... or need.. maybe need more work in the blending part... the city and the fire work look to real for me, but asuka is a draw...

Asuka and the railing in the foreground and the city in the background fail to really meld together into a coherent whole, I think. I realize her outline is probably supposed to be distorted because of the light, but the effect doesn't work as well as it could.

Coming from one wallpaper to this wallpaper.
No, actually found it interesting so decide to take a closer look.
I thought is some other anime (kinda like shaman king - cause of colour maybe and character seems familar)
Never thought is eva.
