Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

IMO, the stock photos of the fireworks look a tad bit too stocky. I would have wished you used smartblurs and the dodgeandburn tools to make it more animated, as they look a tad bit realistic than the scan. the scan also looks a little dodgy. the watercolor/spongy like feel to it doesn't really work overall for me. i guess i critiqued this wall, and unlike the previous comments, its not exactly my taste.
i like the range murata wall you have featured more. :)
NICE! Background looks so good, the firework is really realistic, looks like it really blends into the night sky with the photo, and i really like how there is a shadow on the girl from the colorful firework. Great idea and great result too!
This background fits perfectly the scan! Just wow! There are just some little problems with the extraction and the effects used on the character but the concept is splendid.
