Well, the original scan might have had Renton and Eureka walking on the beach, but I decided to skip all that and Eureka's bratty kids in order to set up a grunge scene with the couple walking solo in the mountains. I don't even really know how I ended up with the BG I did, several random elements just worked together to create something really fantastic, so I just went with it and built it up from there, ending with a massive flare of light thanks to the sun rising above the grunge moutains. The grass itself was the easiest part, just some pen and brush work; I topped everything off with a bit of text and texture. I just want to say thanks to Kalico and Evol for their feedback on this one!
