As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

my idea was at first to recreate the feel of the painting from the series. but then i decided...not to. don't remember why, just didn't. so i went for a theme with the red, red-orange and orange, and made my wall based around that.
also, i gave the scan a major reCG basically doing half ofher skirt, half of her hair and some of her legs. drawing it all from my head x_x
so, thats about it i guess.
oh yeah, melismatic means:
several notes sung on one syllable: a decorative phrase or passage in vocal music, especially one in which one syllable of a plainsong text is sung to a melodic sequence of several notes

no this is far from ebil, its sexyyyy. The dark outline around the planet is slightly bothersome, but not too so. I love the foreground flowers, they bring everything together nicely. I love grunge styles, and yours is most certaintly one of the best examples I've seen in any waller. +fav from me, miss. =P

Yay, we won, w00t. I liked this wall from the very start, at first I thought that the planet/dome was a waterfall, lol. But yeh it is very cool, details like reflection in the water, awsome :)

I love the freaking fact that even though it has a strong abstract touch to it, it not only has a set concept but one which refflects what the amazing series is about. The one thing that bothers me a bit is the realistc feel of the clouds, but even that also gives the wall a great touch of "rahxephon-ish". Also, the blurred flowers..oh god, that just does it for me. The whole thing is just plain out brilliant, your best piece by far.
This is so fitting for rahxephon, well-executed and it's just a wall that pretty much sums up the series. Love the use of textures and the pieces of text. The roses are a bit iffy for me, but altogether beautiful and vibrant work, do you ever make walls that aren't this good? Fave of course~

Haha, I like your filesize. Anyway, great use of the color red all around. Character and planet placement looks great and the ambience fits well with the mysterious feel of Rahexphon. My only gripe is that the tree does look a little too close. Still an awesome job though!
Looks awesome, no wonder the Crimson Orchestra won. You wouldn't happen to have this in RES1280x800 would you. Anyway, keep up the good work and keep 'em coming.
Whoa kali, 666?! Well anyways, I always loved this wall from the very start!! It almost has that 'end of the world' feel to it due to the colors. But that's not a bad thing. And Tokyo Jupiter is a good touch. A very 'Rahexphon' wall. Great job!!
Wow 3 wallpapers within an hour of each other using the same scan. I do think that yours, of the three, is definately the best. You used the angle to your advantage and I like how the foilage in front is set so it looks like she's about the fall into it. The planet is a nice touch.
