This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Well, this was made for the Co vs The Foundation battle. Not much i can say, except it was fun to make that tree. And the butterflies. xD Limited color range was not fun, though. x_x Oh, yeah, please no critiquing, since I never watched RahXephon and I had no idea what I was doing. So yeah, don't be too honest. XD

Oh, right, I can't believe I forgot to point this out. The scan was reCGed by the awesome Kalico, so go give her some love! ^_^

Oh, and textures by Resurgere, too. o_o

easily my fav from the competition. (second to you is redness and his grungey-ness. cause i'm a sucker for it)
but seriously, i remember you just posted up a quick screen of it back when you were still doing the tree. and right then i was like..."damn, this is gonna be good"
and i'm happy to say, "damn, i was right." awesome job.
i know the battle wasn;'t easy, and you shined through brilliantly! thanks for sticking it out.
on to the next one, where i'm sure you'll just dazzle us again!

I don't like this image. Everyone uses it for RahXephon wallpapers, but you managed to pull it off for me. I really like the limited color scheme and how it all blends together. I love that butterfly. :) I really like this one and its going to be both on my desktop and fav list for a while. Thanks. =D

I love the texture. The scan is nice and goes so well with the pretty background. I like the butterflies, they cheer up the atmosphere of the wallpaper with their bright red tone :)

This was by far my favorite submission. I really like it even though it really doesn't have much to do with RahXephon. It's so pretty and artistically done.

I just finished watching Rahxephon again so I decided to grab a new wallpaper. It looks really nice. Everything seems to flow together very well. Great work!

Lol ok i love itXD its rlly nice! you rlly did the butterflys+tree great. it looked rlly that you worked hard on it^^and i like teh dark colours...it fits good with the look of the girl+her dres.s.so depressing everything+sad somehow. I dunno if you did it on purpuse..but the background look more like painting then the girl?!

Sweetness, the text is stylish, and the glowing butterflies give it a mystical air, like it's out of a fairytale, especially the detail in the tree trunk. I'm really looking forward to the next one!

There's been a lot of walls using this pic lately, but i think this is the best so far, i love the glowing butterflies and the tree, very artistic, amazing job

This wall paper is very lovely. There is something elegant but mystical to it. I like the different textures used and the color theme gives it a nice soft glow.

I was waiting for you to post this yesterday before I left for return to East Coast so I could comment, but you didn't do it in time ;_; Anyways this was by far my favorite out of all the entries for that challenge. Beautiful. The colors are so pretty and I love the butterflies! It has a great atmosphere to it. I could look at it for hours. It's simply perfect. The girl is so pretty with the butterflies...for some reason, it makes me think of a sandstorm, yet a calm one. So...pretty...even the text is perfect.

It's awesome. I'm not a fan of anime wallpapers anymore, but this is just beautiful. The only thing I find unnecessary is the texture. I don't think this wallpaper needs it (or you could have used a different one). Everything else looks great.

I love the tree, you did such a good job creating the bark texture. the butterflies are a nice touch too. the colours, the textures, the scan - they all fit in great together.
