Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
This is Hagu from Honey & Clover! It is one the scene in episode 12.
Well, i took about 8 hours to vector and re-cg the screenie.. >__<
it was my first time for me to do these vector and re-cg thing.. (<__<);;
and I spend another 7 hours to make the background and clean the overall wallpaper...
i redo and redo about the background..and i was thinking of adding some gear wheel to represent the "timeless" concept..but i couldnt find any nice gear wheel pic...
character vectorised done in illustrator, background done in photoshop...
few stock pictures and photoshop brushes were used.
Idea of the title came from a Garnet Crow's song, Timeless Sleep

Episode 12? oh how come i didn't watch this XD *goes and dl's it*. i'm a huge fan of honey and clover, it's a real beautiful anime. and your vector work is very well done. i agree that a gear wheel would be perfect but it's real hard to make such without a help. but wasn't there a gear wheel in some episode? anyway, the cloud stock is also very nice. but instead of grass you could make some clovers ^^
I have no idea who the girl is but I really like the background. Clean and refreshing! It seems that you've also done a good job cleaning up the girl, nice =)
My only complaint is that maybe you should darken her eyebrows and generally reoutline the areas that's supposed to be black and then lighten her face up to bring contrast. The way things are now, she seems dead and gloomy but the background is too lively.
Wow, you did a fantastic job vectoring her. Its very clean and crisp, just the way I like vectors! The grass and surrounding simple skyscape make it a very soothing, well executed piece. Wonderful work.
You did a great job vectoring her, but the wallpaper looks rather bland and unfinished. Maybe you could make her colors a bit richer? Just a suggestion.
The simple composition is great, though. And I wuff the huge icon space. :)
Yay~ *jumps with joy* yet another 'Hachimitsu to Clover' wallpaper! ^^ awesome job... and hopefully with this, more and more people will start making wallies of this series... because it really really really is an awesome series! definitely one of my faves! mwahahahaha! *evil laugh*

I love your wallpaper! Simple, nice and clean. The layout of your wallpaper is very intesresting as well. Focusing on just the character's face is a good idea. The background is clear and vivid. Simple text to match simple wall! ^_^ Nice work!

Beauty sleep, ne? I really like it. Uncomplicated, clean... Maybe a bit more work could have gone to the clouds, but other than that I like it ^^;;

I think you don't have to add any more on this wall, the simplicity just says it all...
I like the atmosphere. Very quiet and peaceful.
