Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
An attempt to be "non-abstract"!!
I got great feedback and I found that people like clearly defined wallpapers. I guess Its just to hard to contemplate meaning in an abstract wallpaper or something. I have no idea. SO in an attempt to better serve the public, I have for you this wall with cleanly defined themes. Please critique would do wonders for my skill, but if you like it comments and favs are much appreciated !
It's beautiful! You did great job on the buildings and wings, but i must agree with metalmallow the grass it alittle to bright.
Still,it's a great wall.Nice going! :D
Uhh... it's a nice wall! the KLCC and the Maxis building at the back is just perfect! so, you are from Malaysia isn't it? anyway, nice work for the wall!
Not bad at all! If you ask me, I would say the angle is a bit odd. The girl is tilted towards the upper left hand corner while the background is tilted in the opposite direction. Also, I think the butterfly wings on the girl is too distracting and out of place especially with the more realistic city buildings in the back. Is this supposed to be a fairy tale or real portray?^^;;
It's a nice concept, but the different elements don't blend together very well. The grass really looks kind of bland and generic; there's no problem using stock brushes for grass as long as you use the proper mix of colors and layering. The towers in the background look to solid, bright, and real compared to the rest of the wall. you might want to consider toning them down a bit, adding some atmospheric effects to push them farther into the background. As it is, they look really awkward and low quality. The sky looks nice overall, though you might want to change them up a bit (greater variation on color, size, angle, etc). The character looks out of place in all this, you need to go back and try to blend everything together in a more believable manner.
Hehe Nice job with the Sister Princess wall hehe. The 'realism' was a nice touch as well. Not to also mention Sakuya was the best one of the sisters anyways =P
Whoa... the twin towers from Malaysia? -_- never thought that anyone would use Malaysia's scenery or monuments as a background in a wall (but that's prolly because i come from Malaysia)... heh, but it's a good attempt at merging reality and anime together. =) *thumbs up* and thanks for picking Malaysia.
Your title is very appropriate for your wall. Your background is awesomely clear and the colors are bright and clear as well. I love the butterfly effects you added and the shimmer elements around the character. Excellent wall!
What a great wallpaper you made
love the scan and the light eefects are really good
love the wings and all
the tower looks really good as well
love the colours you used ^^

Clearly defined, bright colours - this certainly is a nice clear scenic wall. Composition is pretty good, it was sort of hard to believe this was 1600 x 1280 because it didn't have that sort of empty feel some high-resolution walls have. The sky itself looks particularly attractive.. I don't know why. It must be that shade of blue.. feels really open.
I say pretty good composition because I find the bit of tree and the bright cloud a little weird. I think you could have gotten away without the bit of tree hanging in from the left edge and the cloud looks odd because the sun is right behind it, yet you see the brightness. I'd have had the sun peeking over from the top of a cloudbank.
Some elements just don't feel crisp.. like they got scaled up too much or weren't from high-quality sources. Like the lineart on the girl and outlines of the butterflies, or those magical brush effects. Kind of a shame really D:
Hmmm, not the abstract sunira wall i got so accustomed to.. its a nice concept, and you pulled it off quite well. but i do agree with the peeps above, the grass needs a bit more work, and personally i don't like the wings coz its a little too crisp in the edges, pretty jagged to me..
