Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

Well, it's been a while since I did an Ergo Proxy wallpaper, so after getting my new Newtype I figued it was more than time to make one. I must be in a decidedly blue mood, because I decided to go simple, bare, and grungy on this one; since the scan is so large and takes up so much of the wallpaper I decided to skip the BG and concentrate on the character image instead. I spent most of the time on this wall working on the scan, the BG just kind of came together after I found a title I liked...

'Animus Discidium' translates roughly to spirit torn apart, so that's the look I went with in respect to Lil and the effects I used on her face and cloths. In reality this is a simple wall that turned out much better than I expected. Enjoy!

I hate you. I abhor you for beating me to walling the scan that's been sitting in my desktop for over a month now.

The wall is fantastic, the one thing that throws me off is the cloud stocks, I don't like them. I prefer brushed clouds, and the texture that you used..it ruins her face.

Very nice! I love the darkness of the wall especially the creative background! good use of the simple black and I like the clouds behind her. Also the 'grunge' look is good too, I like the small texture on her face, it looks cool and the scan is well blended! very nice! Favorite!

I know some people are gonna hate that texture on her face, but i adore it. i think it gives a good feel to an otherwise boring scan. since it's so simple, the only thing you could really do is add a simple background, and texture. and you did a nice job with it. the color of the clouds really sets off the paleness of her skin, and like is aid, i love the texture.
not your best, but i can't think of anyone who could do better with such a static and otherwise boring scan.

Definitely mixed feelings about the texture on her face... I guess maybe if it was used somewhere else too, it may be better, and I'm not a huge fan of the font :P Otherwise, Lil looks great :)

Hehe, anyways, I like the texture, though...i kind of hate it too, it's good on the wall, but i don't like how it turned out on Real's clothes and the title, oh well :P

I really liked the stock background though, where did you get it? did you get it like it is or did you altered it? (oil painting or originally a photograph?)

I really like the texture you used on the wallpaper ^^ It definetly suits the mood of it! I really like the scan you decided to use it's so cool ^_______^ And I actually find those stitches thing (don't know what they are XP) on her face they look really cool!! I do not know because the image I associate it with the photo of Amy lee of evanescence but aside from that this brilliant perfect image this very beautiful, the color in the eyes enchants that color to me, all good ^^, very precious
