Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Okay. Here goes my favorite doll from the Rozen Maiden series. ^o^. Found the scan here, in AP and did a quick vector for about 3 days... Few changes made here and there.. My initial idea was to make a wall of her with a complex background, but considering her personality and the focus of her color theme is dark tones, I finally decided to use darker background -- which will be useless to add anything else. The victorian style window was added to balance the emptiness of the background, and to divide the focus of the wall. Lastly, the moon was added to enrich the atmosphere. The blurry touch was added in PhotoShop to make her glow. Well, she's suppose to be a lamp, right? :)
This piece was optimized for 2560 x 1600 size, there might be some things that will look strange if you use this with less resolution monitor.

The first thing I'd like to say is: Good job on the vector!
but i think the background looks a little too "2d"..
if the windows had light reflecting... (i can't really remember the right word for it) kind of like streaks of light on the glass.
Or, in other words, I think the background needs a little more shading to produce the "3d-ish" effect to match the character.
(also, the moon isn't quite a circle.. more like an oval in the wall. :P)
but good job overall!
OOOHHHH O.o awsome...the vampire stile is awsome...but what i like most, the cuteness of her. The backgrond combines perfectly with her, you can notes in the sight ^.^
