Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Well... i feel quite good about this wallpaper i made of vergil.
On this 1 on 1 battle between Kalico and I. But i literally got pwned by her!
But oh well. try and try again. And fail and fail again. THATS MY MOTO!

Anyways; the purpose of this challenge was to see more devil may cry wallpapers to be made.
Like com'on yo; its an amazing series. Takes alot of skills to pull off crazy combos. But the game it self isnt for everyone. That actually relates to the people whom likes God of war over dmc3 because it looks pretty >_>
I took a manga cover scan of vergil. I retraced his outlines with add-ons. Than added a water color effect to it.
To make it more paint-like. The main bg was a mixed of textures that i was fooling around with. Combined different aspects into one. Than as you see those TWO solid color characters behind vergil.
That is his parents. The demon look-a-like is sparda; his father and Eva his mother. Make sense to me to add them in there because of his fathers disapparence, and evas death. Made him to lust for power because he wasnt strong enough to protect his mother from the demons. The graveyard is like his mind it self; as you can see theres no names or engave letters on it because he doesnt remeber or care anybody in the moment of his life.

Somehow I knew you would use the same picture but that's all right. This is a different style for Devil May Cry 3 but I like the simplicity you done on the Bg and redrawing the lines on Virgil is nice and neat. And is a good idea, having his parents in the BG. A good simplistic wall you made.
Vergil XD Even if you feel Kalico whooped your ass in detail and such. They still are some people out there who like the simplicity of the wall you've done XD
DMC3 was amazing. It may have been too hard for some, but the game itself was spectacular. There's not much wrong with it, and it's cutscenes are amazing.

i love the fact that the wall sseems so simple, but it's not because there are complex subtalties all over the place.
it's an awesome wall, that i find really underappreciated by the judges.

Yeah... kalico's wall was some awesome paint stuff, but I think I like yours as a wall better ^^ And I really do love how you manage to weave the story into to the background of your wall. And yeah, hot vectorage for sure >xD Keep it up! You still have like, 3 challenges to go. Or something. XD
When you first posted your vector of Vergil in the IIDFWP I knew your wall would be awesome. The vector still blows me away and I like your wall because of the thought process that went into it, love walls that tell a story >__< even if I'm mostly unfamiliar with them. So looking closely and seeing the image of his mother and then the demon?? and I love the concept of the gravestones. Nice coloring and texture too. I think both yours and Kalico's walls are exceptional in each of the styles you chose to execute them. oh btw So great job as usual to the both of you, oh and this gets a fave~
Personally I like it, the whole grim, angst, lust for power feel you have going here, it really works as it relates to Virgil (nice job on the scan btw). Definitely a nice looking wall and really it is something to be proud of it. Good job and you're right the world does need more DMC walls. ^^
