Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
When I started this wallpaper, the only thing I knew was that I wanted to do a Eureka 7 wall. Then I stumbled into the scan of Renton. So I vectored him; he took somewhere in the neighborhood 75 layers if you include the board. I then added the trapar via another vector. Then the idea for the wall came to me, thus the addition of the skyfish and clouds. The clouds were the most painful part of this. I had the hardest time make clouds that I was happy with. I tried using stock images and just photoshop filters and such. However, neither was what I wanted. So the final clouds you see are a combination of the two. More my freehand than anything, but I do like this one. The last thing added was the ray=out logo and barcode. I was watching either episode 39 or 40 and new that a cover can mean more than meets the eye. Well, here it is, please enjoy. :)
HEy thats unique! putting a barcode there! Creative indeed! Like how you vectored the scan, good job on that! Also, the background is very well done too! Totally impressed by this! very simple too! FAvorites!

OoOh this is nice!! It looks like a Rayout magazine cover. How cool! I love Eureka which makes this one a quick favorite on my list. I've been in love with that Renton scan though since I first seen it. His smirk is just too cute. I love how you captured the Skyfish though. I've been looking for a wallpaper that had the skyfish in it for a while. Very nicely done!!
Wow! i like the angle renton is looking. and seriously that little barcode and the ray=out sign makes it looks like one of the magazine covers =] nice!
The addition of the barcode is so creative, looks just like a magazine. I was wondering if someone might try that out eventually. Very colorful and representative of the series. Nice job!
Look how far you've come since you're first wall :) Great vector work...did you vector the ray=out from the mag in the anime? I dunno what "font" it was, just occurred to me. Great job!
Nice idea of adding a barcode, it looks like a magazine. It was very creative and original. Nice vector work, did you vector Ray=Out as well? I can tell the clouds took a long time to do, nice work. Renton position is also just perfect.
Awesome, I have to say this wall looks really great. Like others before me have said it pulls off the look of a magazine cover real well. The vector of Renton is also very smooth and honestly that's always been one of my favorite Renton picture so I'm glad to see a wall using it. Also I like the look of the clouds and of the trapar.
All in all, excellent job. Thumbs up and an instant fav in my book. ^^
