Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
This wall was done as part of the EVI vs Defeiji challenge of doing a Noir collab. My collaborative partner in this wall was Felesya. She helped to enhance the lighting effects, added the lighting on the character's eyes & body, and added a nifty little hourglass amongst the clutter :D . She like the ultimate fixer-upper because if something is missing she'll fill it in and make it pretty :D .
Anyway, this wall features a vector of the character Silvana of Noir done by myself. Originally the head wasn't her own as the vector was originally of Kirika, but I found out that another group had already used that character, so I decided to make a hybrid and put Silvana's newly vectored head on the body XD . So, you won't be finding any scan of Silvana that looks like this ... so w00t or something :D .
The scene is in an empty & desolate room with debri, smashed glass and old books thrown about at mid-day. She has come in here seeking a place to ease her mind and has brought along a teapot and cup of tea.
The only source of light is coming from the window (which isn't seen due to the angle) and the reflection of the light off the floor. Thus, ambient lighting and the darkness effect.
A small alarm clock ticks away in the background behind her, even though it has been locked in the room for many many years, while an hourglass turned over moments ago begins to let the sand fall. Small speckles of dust float by and are only illuminated by the window's light. She remains in her thoughts seemingly caught in the past ... and thus the title.
Overall, I'm happy with the ambience and mood of this wall, as well as the slight angling of the downward shot. Comments and crits welcome ... just try to be more intelligent and say something beyond "cute wall" ... it makes me want to stab you. I'm going to go now, because for one reason or another I feel like I've been punched in the stomach XD . Yay problems XD .
* Oh, and zoom in because apparently the thumbnail makes it look like crap.
