Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
This wallpaper was a bit of a challange to me. I had absolutely no idea what DN Angel was about when I made this. I just found a scan that I liked and tried to give it a suitable theme. So here it is, a somewhat apocalyptic piece, one might say.
I'm very satisfied with this one since it turned out quite close to what I wanted to create. The red color scheme felt natural because of all the explosions and fires that's visible in the background. Some might think that it's a bit too bright on the right side of the character. This was made by purpose. It was made that way to give the feeling of a meteor (or what those flying objects in the sky could be) crashing down not far away from him. One nice touch I'm really proud of is the flames reflection in his eye. Together with his sad expression they set the mood perfectly for the wallpaper.
The title isn't anything spectacular. I just took some latin words that I thought would go well with the apocalyptic theme I used.

WOW! This wallpaper is amazing. The scan of Dark really fits in with the backround which is done very well by the way. And how theres light to the right of him, I love how you put that there to show theres really something happening in the backround. It seems like this wallpaper is moving! Instant fav!
Ah, yes. I defenitly remember this one. Neat as always. I love the photo in the background and the fact that you managed to blend the colors of it so well with the character. The meteor-thingies were a good idea as well. They add a lot to the whole apocalyptic theme and the character seemes to fit in well with that particular theme.
It's nice but, I'm getting the feeling that Dark isn't exactly connecting with the background. Like he's not exactly part of the background just pasted in front of it. Still, I love the effects you used.

A very impressive job as your first wall. Areas i like about your wall includes the meteorites falling down. How you created them gives the wall a spectular look and the flames burning in the ruble.

Very good the contrast and detail with the fund on Dark. It is to good your work. I wanted having the great ability that you have.
Excellent wall for someone who hasn't seen/read the series.
I love the blending style you used, taking advantage of blurring effects and lighting effects AND action effects to bring that character more into the foreground. Very focused. Very cleanly done.
The only problem that I had with this wall was that it didn't have much to do with the actual story. However, since you said you didn't actually see the series, that's ok.
I recommend looking up the background info for your future characters/walls - it makes things much more interesting. You can add interesting tidbits of symbolism here and there in the wall, and overall present the background of the character (i.e. there are many characters out there with mysterious pasts...these are fun to play with when walling).
Anyway, excellent job.
The Latin is also a nice touch; I also agree with the flames in his eyes touch - very nice.
I love the color combination and the lighting effect. It's nice how it just fades into white behind Dark. Ironic play off his name -and- looks good. Very nice overall.
