Ah, I absolutely love this picture! I love it so much that I joined AP just so I could download the scan and make a wallpaper of it :D

There wasn't enough usable sky in the original scan, so I switched it out for stock and recolored it myself. There were a lot of layers involved also...not just for the sky, but for the foreground, which had to be cut into pieces and seperated (for blurring, retouching, recoloring, etc.). Thank God for Photoshop's Pen tool.

I had a few problems with the text placement. I played with putting the words in the sky for a while, but decided that took away from the picture and settled for the text and black bar near the bottom. I'm not sure if it looks as good as it could this way, but it works for me. I guess I'll learn better tricks through trial and error.
