Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
LL: (if you are still on) I need to have you making a group annoucement about the card game. Currently very few people are on it. I make the design, but we need set the rules soon as possible.
This is a wallpaper I MADE ( I tell you this because they said that other person did ). I like the drawing of UTENA, and I like this image in particular. So I decided to put it into a wallpaper. I use Corel PhotoPaint and ACDSee FotoCanvas to make it. It took me around 3 hours to extract the image of Utena but I think I did good. Please tell me your opinion. I'm gonna take the chance and submit it directly. I don't know how to post it in the forum ( forgive me, I don't know about this stuff, I've never posted anything before ), so if you know a easy way to do so, I'll really apreciate it.
PD: I put my signature and I made a description of the wallpaper. But I don't know how to prove to you that I made it. But you can see that this one is a litte diferent from the first wallpaper, because I modified some things on purpose.
There's way too much negative space on the left side. The combination of the colors and textures in the background with the scan of Utena in the foreground just doesn't feel right...maybe it's just me. Still a decent wall overall.
I think the whiteness of the left side off-sets the darkness of the right side. It would only be better if the girl was in the center of the 2 color zones instead of off to one side.
Hum.. i like the background! But, it don't match right to this scan... maybe something more colorfull? Well... i like, but, you can improve this. Thanks for sharing!

To be honest, I put that negative side on the left because many people put a lot of icons in their desktop. So, by doing this I prevent them to block an important part of the image.
By the way, I agree with chibicrystal, but I didn't know that my wall was going to be accepted ( thus I don't know if the pink version is going to be accepted too ^_^U ), so i'm goona put a link to the other wallpaper
The background and the scan are an unusual pairing, but I think the two look good together. The background really makes Utena stand out, it's visually interesting, has tons of contrast, and I like the monochromatic background. The main thing that sticks out for me is Utena's outline -- it's slightly uneven at parts (although not painfully so) . . . take a little more time/effort erasing the background in the future. This is a really good wall for anyone who has icons covering the left 1/3 of their screen.
I really like this wallpaper! Very good work! For me is the best I have seen in this category! I love Utena series, and this wallpaper too ;) But I also think the pink version fits better with Utena, but I also like this version.
Continue! See you!
