This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
i started off with this scan of kikyo; then worked my was from there with some brush work, various textures on different blending modes, playing around with some blue hues and adding in the text. after i did all of that, the left side looked pretty lonely so i tried putting a scan in there. that didn't work out too well so i tried another scan... and that didn't work out either. so then i tried putting in the outline of a screen cap and that seemed to work out alright. i didn't know what to do with the text at first, but i kept playing around with it and this funkyness was the result.
i wasn't too sure about submitting this wall at first, because of the lack of responses i got from session zero. but thanks to FutekiTwilight87's encouragement, i kept working on it and here it is. thanks Twilight ^___^.
it was nothing like my original idea... but hey, it happens, and i still like how it turned out.
i hope you all like it!
Krooples, you did it! I'm so proud of you! YAY! The background is lovely, and the words around kikyo are nicely sized. She looks good in this wall. A+++, GO KROOPLES! YATTA!

Sweet wall! the grunge is simple, but that doesn't matter. I love the originality in the character placement! I love it! the text is also amazing. it's worthy of a fave!
I see you got it updated and fixed! Saw this in ession zero and I'm glad to it accepted! Lvoe the grunge background and cool concept putting Kikyo upside down. Also love the soft texturing and it looks good! Favorites for me! Hope to see more walls from you!

Ah, it is so difficult to find a good wall with Kikyo. This is interesting due to the different approach you took from the usual walls I see of Kikyo. It's very nice, good choice of colors and she is placed very well. Good job. =)
It's really nice. I like the color scheme and the text around Kikyou. The background is nice too, and I like the way you have Kikyou upside down. Great job!
Thank you for making a Kikyo wall
=D
I thought I was the only one who liked her XD
oh well...
nice job ^.~
really like the tuxture you used
and the contrast of colors =)
keep it up~!
Really Interesting! It caught my eye! Kikyou looked like she was sinking, but when I viewed it she was just upside down. It was a very good perspective of how you put her like that way. The words and fonts were great. Black and white suited well and the only color was her which really makes you focus only her mostly. The texture on the background were really nice. ^-^ This must go in my favs. :D
