Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
LL: (if you are still on) I need to have you making a group annoucement about the card game. Currently very few people are on it. I make the design, but we need set the rules soon as possible.
When I start a wallpaper it usually takes me hours to figure out what I want to do with the scan, but with this wall I knew exactly what I wanted. I wanted to make a chess wallpaper with a character in the game. When I found the right stock photo I immediately thought of this last exile scan. This wall was really spur of the moment kind of thing and since I spent a couple of hours on it I thought I would share it.
Lol i like your concept. the bg looks a bit blurry, but otherwise great. and the scan is great too, but it looks a bit like its not part of the picture, other then tat great job xD

Like the previous commentator, I have to say that I absolutely love the concept, though I find the difference in perspective between the foreground scan of Tatiana and the background image jarring. If it weren't for that, I would certainly considering putting into my current wallpaper shuffle.
Very good idea, it's definatly eye catching. I'm not quite sure what to say other than there's something missing, I'm not sure what, but I'll tell you once I've looked at it some more. =)
This is a really creative wallpaper! I love how he is on the chess board like that. I haven't seen this concept used before which makes it very original in my eyes. You did a great job with textures and color as well. Again, I think you did a lovely job at capturing this into a wallpaper. Keep it up. I look forward to seeing some more from you.
A really fun concept for a wall! When I saw it I thought to myself "What a creative concept." The theme is well presented and the image is nicely positioned. The background needs a bit more work though. The bottom half seems to be sharper and clearer than the upper half. There are still some visible scan lines and noise in the upper half. And the text seems to be hardly visible to be read or noticed. Still a very original piece!
That is a nice Wallpaper ^-^
I like the effects you used in this work, like the scratches of the chess board that makes it look like used really much or the white light dots around the figure.
And because of the lightly blurred background it gives me a kind of feeling of a real picture (except the human figure ^-^).
Great work!
WOW! this one is truly fantastic. I love the way all the colors provide just enough contrast but still remain dark and mysterious. the only thing that seems slightly out of place is the title: concentration of a gamer. Tatiana doesn't quite seem to have that intensely focused look that I'd expect of a gamer . . .still I love this piece!
