This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
This wallpaper was something I worked on the last 2 days. The scan was from a BL manga "KIKI" by Homerun Ken. When I first saw it, I absolutely love it so I had to vector it and make a wallpaper out of it. The original scan was cut off so I expanded the entire background out. The trickiest part was doing the waves as well as the clouds in the sky. I changed some parts of the original image as well. I changed his hand, which original was held onto by some guy's hand sticking out. I didn't like that so I changed it to what it looks like now and added the apple. Then I changed the scarf from his clothing to make it look as though it is transforming into flying doves. I also added the vines in the wave to make it seem like the water is slow wrapping around him. I wanted everything to look surreal or at least not normal. Anyway, I hope you like the wallpaper.
This is really nice, cute, and creative! ^_^ the pint of view is really unique and i love the way the character is holding that heart! I'm adding this to my favs! ^_^
OMG! THis is absolutly beautiful! Excellent vectoring job here! I love the simple colors of blue and white used in the wall and you did an wonderful job altering parts of the wall such as adding the apple, the scarf and the sky! I love the water, wow the water is damn good! Definitly love this wall! Instant Favorite! Please make some more walls!

Wow!! Nice perspective !! The colors you used are really nice, but I feel that the character does not seem that present into the wallpaper !! seems a bit transparent because of the colors used !!

Beautiful vectoring!! ^_____^ A really interesting background! Looks really cool! I like the clouds and the waves how they sort of merge together! I like all the colours you used, they all go nicely with one another! ^.^
The composition is very unique. I thought that coloring and the cloud were laid out to it, and the sense was very good. It is a wonderful wallpaper that becomes cool feelings only by seeing.

umg, I hate, that you didn't make the over all outline of the character as a shape rather than lines.
btw, this is the first wall that the outline is done in such a matter...and yet Im still faving for its overall awesomeness.
