Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Adobe Suite: $700. Junk food eaten while designing: $57. Hours spent working on a design when you could have been working: $350 dollars. The 10 minutes for someone to tell you you suck: Priceless
LL: (if you are still on) I need to have you making a group annoucement about the card game. Currently very few people are on it. I make the design, but we need set the rules soon as possible.
Well, anyways...I turned the embryo into a ghost (it's translucent). I know the whole snap-shot idea is kind of cliche. The whole idea came from a video game where you take pictures of ghosts to kill it, but even though someone took a picture of this one...he lives on. :D Supposedly, I was gonna add blood splatters to show that the person who took the picture died, but then it ruined the whole simplicity of the wall, so I took it away.
I vectored the original scan, and tried to do something with design concept. Again, I found out it looked better like this: simple. If you haven't noticed, I re-made the eye. :O I actually screwed up, it's supposed to be shiny, but then...it didn't really matter anyways. And the annoying lines on the background is my failed attempt on a gradient. It didn't come out right. o_o
I like it. Its very slick. The polaroid seems a bit too solid, but since its a vector I'll let taht slide. the over all vectoring is flawless and I like how you went about the background.
Even though the photo idea is used a little too much, you still worked it out well. The textures and colors look really good, as well. I only have love for this wallpaper :3
I love the simplicity! XD And I remember that game.. I think it
was called Fatal Frame where you had to take pics of ghosts.. but I can't remember XD
You idea of that was really neat and I think even with the blood spots it would look really cool
Awesome work! I love the little embryo dude too ^^ +fav
Simple yet I love it, current wallpaper. Kinda don't like the watermark at bottom. Use OS X and well, that's VERY visible, other then that, enjoy the wallpaper +Fav

I just love original picture that is used in this wallie...cant say that about wallpaper itself :( important details are missing here from original picture, like cold blue eye, this red one, just dont fit with this creature...
but the polarized party looks really nice, love that part, the rest...ghm, not my thing.

I like the simplicity of it and the vectoring is done well too. it's an interesting concept.
it would be nice if you could fix up the gradient so it wouldn't have those faint lines in the background though.
other than that, nice job!
A very psychadelic wall...it's trippy, yet very sleek and smooth. usually, i only fav walls that i "feel" will fit very well with me, and this one's a no-brainer
