Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Adobe Suite: $700. Junk food eaten while designing: $57. Hours spent working on a design when you could have been working: $350 dollars. The 10 minutes for someone to tell you you suck: Priceless
LL: (if you are still on) I need to have you making a group annoucement about the card game. Currently very few people are on it. I make the design, but we need set the rules soon as possible.
My wall entry in round 1 of W.A.R. 2006

Presenting the manga series Akuma de Soro (The Devil Does Exist) by Takanashi Mitsuba
I finished rereading the manga right when round 1 began so I went flipping through again to find the right image to introduce this "unknown" series
I took a break after tracing the outlines to think about how to create a funky rock look...the only thing I knew was that I wanted to use song lyrics but didn't have a clue which song or how to use it...
Finally the idea of using records hit me on the head...and I found myself humming JET's Are You Gonna Be My Girl... and it all came together
Uwahh! Such a great vector!! ^^ Really nice job with the vector! ;D I like the background! It's really funky!! DISCOO ^_____^ Hehe wonder how the wall would look with Disco Lights XPPP Like the idea of writing song lyrics out ;D Wall looks great! ^^

I like! Remind my the 70' years...this color circles on the back and all the letters around... like a disco or something like that! Thanks for sharing!
Before I read your description I already knew Jet was going to be part of it. I love how you used records to fill the background, and the fact that you included the lyrics in a non-cliche way.
The idea of the text around the records is so cool and the whole wall is just so funky and makes you want to rock out. Nice colors and awesome vector work and overall just a great original wall. Great work as always~
Wonderful! I am a huge fan of this series and I see very few wallpapers for it. The records in the background are great, they go perfectly with the style of Kayano and Takeru. Cause their so stylish :) This is so cute.
This is a quite 'unknown' series, never heard of it... But no I have, thanks to the wallpapers here ^^
Anyways, I like the vector! At first I thought the scan was really good, until I read your description.
Oh, and the idea to put the lyrics of the song on the "disk" (I don't know the right word for it..) is really good. And I can really see that it has a "funky rock look", so good job! ^^
Keep up the good work and hope to see more great ideas coming from you =)
Altough my comment comes kinda late and that is because this is the first time I see this wall I must say this you made a great wallpaper or better said a great vector and I loved those too very much, this manga was one of my favourite so I was expecting to see more scans or walls from it anyway seeing walls with them is allways a reason of joy for me.
I really like the disco theme, the background suits them well and oh my gosh I love how you vectored them!
I like how you used these 2 scans...they really seem to belong togther so nice choices. (i've never seen these myself) the background is nice too. a different color yet not too bright. and the texture seems the same on both scans so it looks really nice. great job
Oh my gosh, I would never have the patience to complete such a wallpaper. And 50 layers! @__@ I admire artists like you. I truly do. It is amazing, the kind of things you create...I especially admire all the time you spent painstakingly outlining the image. I love your coloring too!
WOW have never seen this manga before but seems pretty cool so I guess I should check it out before I pass any judgment and this beautiful art. Aw woops that is judgment isn't it lol oh well f_ck it I'm tired and have a lot of time on my hands so I guess I should put a little effort into commenting lol you can see what I'm trying to do and I really don't give a f_ck cuz theres this really cool MGS scan that I wanna download but I cant unless I gather enough papers.
Oh btw awesome wallpaper really funky, the style of the drawing seems distinct among most anime haha. YAAAAAY!

This is equally good, though. I like the record theme.
