Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Adobe Suite: $700. Junk food eaten while designing: $57. Hours spent working on a design when you could have been working: $350 dollars. The 10 minutes for someone to tell you you suck: Priceless
LL: (if you are still on) I need to have you making a group annoucement about the card game. Currently very few people are on it. I make the design, but we need set the rules soon as possible.
I guess a Bleach wallpaper is long overdue from me considering that the anime has been running for over half a year and the manga even longer (since the days of Toriyamaworld).
The character came from two separate scans but I decided to combine them together since they look great together with their grim looks and shinigami uniform. Cleaning them up was a major pain since the scans are huge.
Background comes from some heavily manipulated stock since the pic at the back was originally taken in daytime. A major pain to make the change from day to night. Night sky, mists and fireflies are self made though.
Anyway, enjoy!
PS: The background is a Japanese cemetary. And the noise problem in Rukia's eye has been fixed.
- White outline fixed. Any remaining white outlines are actually from the gravestones.
I think you are right. rukia and ichigo in their shinigami uniform...cool. great idea. both look great. but i cant figure out what the bg actually is. what's the bg?? anyway the effects look nice and all in all it's a great wall. good job
Wow, looks great!I like how the background looks cut-out vectored like the characters. I think Rukia's eye-white is still pixelated and that the font makes Rukia's sword look semi-transparent. Otherwise, it's verry nice. Kudos!
Nothing much I can really say about this one... except for the "Grave of the fireflys" thing (Miyazaki?) Anyway, I could understand the quote since there were graves and fireflys in the wallpaper = obvious comment of the year. Great job!

The background has this sort of paper cutout effect on the hills, looks pretty interesting. I have to say the photomanipulation is good since I wouldn't think the stock was a daytime photo! I can see what you mean about the scan, because the quality of them looks inconsistent. Like Ichigo's right arm, face and his blade look like vector traces. Rukia's face too. But their robes and Rukia's hair still look like they have the inkdot pattern from the scans visible. If you wanted a fabric texture to them maybe you should have cleaned then overlayed one on top...
Wow this is a great wallpaper. The whole location in which they are in with the fireflys give it a great touch. Everything seems to fit well together. ^_^
Reminds me of Memories in the rain (the OVA). I really like the idea and even though the stock looks a little too filtered it's well blended in. You cleaned the scan very nicely and it's nice how you put two different scans together. Because it's such a great idea and I love the Bleach manga, I'll add it to my favorites.
Just see the scans makes me want to go watch bleach but with the adision grave yard and fireflys, Im on the brink of fainting, from Bleach overdoseage (not a bad thing of course). The wallpaer has nice colors and isnt too bright and isnt too dark. Thanks for the wall :) ........ :faint: (Bleach overdoseage)

Nice. Those two scans deffinetly look well together, but you really could've cleaned at least Rukia's hair as well (Ichigo's kimono too, but that looks like a pain) Personally before I read that the background is a cemetary, I had no idea what it was, it looks weird and it doesn't really blend the scan imo.
Wooo!
dias made a wall! xD
the basically i was gonna say what furi said about the quality between the two scans and stuff, but overall you did a nice job cleaning them up.
the background looks cool, and making it day to night worked out nicely :D
i like the mist and the text.
hope to see more walls from you soon :3
-hint hint- xD

My apostrafy/quote button on my keyborads broke, so expect my posts to look weird (in addition to being misspelled)
