Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Adobe Suite: $700. Junk food eaten while designing: $57. Hours spent working on a design when you could have been working: $350 dollars. The 10 minutes for someone to tell you you suck: Priceless
Turned out more like a sanji wall than a one piece wall.
the angle was too cool for me to ignore. i *had* to wall it!
the artwork in One Piece seemed to depend so much on the lines, i really wasn't sure whether something like this was going to work or not. so did it? i think so...but well, you be the judge.
i've ommited a lot of things in order to keep it simple. the futher away the character, the less the details. but i guess i still put in too much in the case of luffy. i had to darken the sky to get the foreground to come forward. so it's no longer clear what time of day it's supposed to be. the original idea was to not use any textures and patterns, but the picture felt incomplete without them, so i added them too.
70 something layers. vectoring wasn't that hard, really. but adjusting the colours was absolute pain! colours ended up rather pale, but i guess it gives that 'dusty' sort of look, which i think is quite appropriate since they're in the desert. took a lot of time to make it desktop-friendly. every time i tried to upload it, i always felt like there was still some tweaking to be done. i went back to this wall almost 20 times, long after i'd originally considered it finished. if i were to let myself, i'd still be working on it. but you gotta stop somewhere, right?
and yeah the bottom right corner looks sort of empty. i was thinking of pasting something in that area, but you can just turn off auto-arrange on your desktop and put your recycle bin and other frequently used icons there.
sorry for the uncreative title. couldn't come up with anything good.

Though I am usually more partial to vectors with lines, there's something about this I really like. Great job (especially on the vector!) and keep up the good work. +fave :D
Not the best vector work around, but it gets the job done. I would've liked it a lot more if you'd used the same technique as you did on your highlighted wall, but thats more of a personal taste.
Well, your efforts really payed off. This wallpaper looks absolutely great. Really great idea that the characters further away gets less details, it gives you a feeling of the desert. After taking a look at the scan...I'm really amazed at how you vectored the characters, it takes a great sense of art to vector the characters like you did. Definitely a fav for me.
Hahaha i like this paper sanji is alwasy the same. i love one piece paper there always up beat and cheerful. but this one is cool because it's different then the one i seen so far. I like the color you use for the sky and the way you use it the same color to shadow out the character. overall great one piece paper, awsome job.
*cough* what's so bad about this being a (mostly) sanji wall? XD
ok, seriously, i think you made a fantastic wallpaper, it's really eye-catching,i like it and i will add it to my favs and i will put it on my desktop.
there! :D
Awsome! I love how you vectored this image! The warm and cool colors make you seem at peace here. I love vectors with no lines, and you really made that look happen. I agree the angle is very awsome and a Sanji wallpapers fine with me because hes off the hook ^_^! PLUS FAV!
Grand! It did come out more of a Sanji wall and while, I'm not a Sanji-freak like so many folk out there and I think Luffy should have been highlighted; that didn't detract from my liking of this wall at all!. I think it is a DANG fine wall, the muted colors of the backround really bring out Sanji (obviously). Also, the whole wall is nice and crisp, and colorful enough to keep your attention while looking at it. I also have to say, I agree with your comment about the lines meaning so much to the artwork of One Piece; however, it came out bloody spiffy! I couldn't hope for a better wall for my desktop! -salutes- Instant favorite!
