Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

I'm a grunge whore, and i actually hate pop-art walls. The only ones i've ever liked are the ones by tate and gid...and it's not cause i'm their friends. They just don't whore circles, and that makes me happy :D
so, i started out doing pop-art to see if i could. and i found out i could, and i also was reminded of how much i hate it, so i said..."screw this" trashed it, and started sometihng new.
if anyone ever tells you to vector the skyline of manhattan, just kick them in the face. Take my word for it folks, it's time consuming and painful. Yes, that is part of the manhattan skyline, and yes, i did vector the whole thing.
I actually don't feel like talking about this wall seeing as i pretty much hate it and want it to burn in hell for all eternity (but not the scan, because the scan is just amazing)
the quote says..."maybe fly and fall are the same thing...they both begin with F and end on the ground" it's some lame ass quote my sleepy mind came up with that i stuck in there.
yeah, so i hate this wall, so any criticism you have i don't really care much, since i will never be opening this illustrator file again for all of eternity. even if the earth itself were to burst into flames if i didn't.
and if you hate the blur, too bad. because it's called depth perception. that and the wall was too busy without the blur. but if i hear enough complaining i'll upload the craptastic non blurred version for you all to scowl at as well.
(in case my bitching didn't hint it off, i reeeeeaaaaaally hate this wall)

An excellent wallpaper creation. The colour scheme is excellent and the colour blending match very well. The characters have been blend nicely with the background. Excellent touch up and impressive work.

Love everything you've done - great composition, lovely vectoring (esp for range murata's work), nice background, everything looks so awesome - but the text!! Placement is good but the title itself is really not my cuppa - sorry.
And if it wasn't a black and white challenge I think this one could do with nice happy colours.

Viewed it earlier, but forgot to comment (I think). I love this wallpaper a lot. It reminds me of Last Exile. Seeing as there is a blimp in the background. The wallpaper makes the character look so carefree and fun! I really don't know what to say. Great concept, great wall. Great job!

I don't think that the city is too blurred, I think that the blur helps to
enhance the depth perception (spelling?).

I am new to this site and highly impressed by the quality of the images I have found here. Always drawn to simply lines and form this image stands out particularly for me. The artist notes that they are not a fan of the 'Pop' style which I think is a shame since they clearly have an eye for it. I look forward to seeing more from +Kalico in the future.
The clouds around the girl caught my attention immediately. Not only it is a great vector but the concept and the perspective itself looks great. Simply loving black and white walls currently as colour is not always everything when it comes to imaging. Blur background means i get to focus more on the actual image itself. Its not a downside to me, just looking for the alternatives in a wall

I like the scan and the whole black and white concept. I've been seein a lot of pop art walls lately but I think it's the best...and it doesnt have those cliche circles.

I really like the character and the clouds, but the rest kinda falls flat. Also, I don't think the B&W suits the wall. The vector though is really good.
