Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Adobe Suite: $700. Junk food eaten while designing: $57. Hours spent working on a design when you could have been working: $350 dollars. The 10 minutes for someone to tell you you suck: Priceless
LL: (if you are still on) I need to have you making a group annoucement about the card game. Currently very few people are on it. I make the design, but we need set the rules soon as possible.
Hahaha, this made me laugh, this is by far one of the best anime movies ive ever seen, and one of the best wallpapers from it. Its super cute and you've got my fav x10 to the max, keep up the great work.
I find this wallpaper very funny, looks like the sootballs are going against that other creature, very cute. very nice job on the vector, I really think you did a great job on this wallpaper, looking forward to your next ones
Omg, I love this scene! The first time I saw it I was caught between "omg so cute!!!" and "omg can't stop laughing!!!". The only bad thing I have to say about this is that I wish there were more resolutions of it, especially widescreen. Still, adding as a fav, cause it's just too cute!

Though an odd thing to say about a scene containing a bunch of soot, I agree that the image is quite clean. In particular, the mousified baby, as you dub him, has an impressive sort of clarity about him.
The nice thing about this wall, is that it's unexpected. What I mean is, it's not as though this is a scene that people automatically think of from Spirited Away. So it has a nice way of reminding me of this and other less important, yet enjoyable details throughout the movie. Indeed, Miyazaki's world's boast an overabundance of imaginative characters. This wall reminds me off that.
Reminiscing aside, in a word, while nothing spectacular, this shot is just plain fun.
That said, what in the world happed to the other little guy, above the mouse? He is by far the worst part about this wall, and he ruins the entire thing! He does not fit into the piece at all. Rather, he does not sit into the piece at all. He feels too front, and too flat, as if someone stuck a sticker on top of your wallpaper. No matter how I look at it, he always sticks out, in a bad way, that says "something's not right about me." He needs to be pushed back into the picture, by being redrawn and/or reshaded. I think if you angled him more like the mouse, or angled him at all (instead of having him so straight on) and made the lighting on him more extreme, lighter on the right and darker on the left, then perhaps, he would fall back into the space of the scene.

This was taken from the scene when the mousified baby did an imitation of Chihiro stepping on the slug.
And if you haven't seen the movie yet, don't worry - you won't know what I'm talking about until it happens anyway xp.
More resolutions @ Dragonrain!
