Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!

it's yet his b-day yet...thats on the 24th, but he told me to submit it early if i finished it, so here it is.
This is also going to be my first entry in the vectorness monthly challenges, and it's for the month of august with the idea "color outside the lines".
Okay, so he wanted a beck wall, and my original plan was to do this elaborate concert scene and make it kick complete ass. but, i'm really lazy, and i've been working a lot, so i had zero motivation to do it. So, after flipping through my sketchbook earlier today, and admiring my sketchiness (not something i do often) it hit me.
sketchy.
what a pose like that needed was lots and lots of movement, and nothing shows movement better than sketchy. mostly gestures, but i wanted you to be able to tell what it was, and when i do gestures, yeah, you get movement, but it's too simple. so, i used the scan that i had intended, and quickly traced over it, keeping my lines free and fun.
it all evolved from there.

i didn't include koyuki's face for 2 reasons. i actually hate the way it's drawn in the manga half the time (especiall on this cover) and for design purposes. the face just didn't show the movement the way the rest of the body did. actually, the face was rather static.
Whoa! Awesome Beck wall! I love how its all dynamic and stuff. The colors go well together and the sketch is great. There's pretty much nothing that I don't like about this wall! Very cool. Nice job!
Amazing .. simply amazing. a great concept and supreb implementation. i only have one suggestion. make another version of it with the face. it would be super wicked.

Really nice concept and execution. On that front I can't complain. I like the sketchy feel to it. However the wall feels a bit anonymous to me. IE: I wouldn't have known, though I suspected it, that it was a BECK wall if it wasn't written. I understand the reason for leaving Koyuki's face out (I'm not fond of the manga's art myself) but it really lost a lot of identity. Maybe have a pale sketchy picture of Beck -the dog- in the backround space below the blue jeans. I dunno, just mindless rambling on my part...
This wallpaper is so cool! I love the fact that the lines are not so well defined. It gives the wallpaper a kinda informal, great touch. Congratulations!!
Simply an amazing job, I really love the child-esque coloring job, the wall just looks so fanatic and full of energy. I'm going to have to add this one to my favorites for sure!
