Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
Adobe Suite: $700. Junk food eaten while designing: $57. Hours spent working on a design when you could have been working: $350 dollars. The 10 minutes for someone to tell you you suck: Priceless
I chose this image drawn by Chen Shu Fen because she reminds me of a Korean Soap Star that I like. The main background was done by me. The leaves were a stock photo used with filters. I think the orange turned out well to match the image. I had difficulty thinking of a color scheme to match her since the image is mostly white. Hope you guys like it.
Oh I have been waiting for someone to make a Chen Shu Fen wall! I got to say I really like the BG its nice and soft but has some real good detail to it as well. I think that the scan could be a little cleaner but I know how hard it must have been to extract one of Chen Shu Fen pictures. Great job!
This is a really pretty wall. I love the colours you used, very pretty. I like all the little details you put into the background. The scan is very nice. Goo job :)
Very pretty background. Soft colors with an autumn feel to it. I love the different shades of orange as well as the amount of detail you put into the background. It's absoultely beautiful. ^_^
Yeah, waiting for the Chen Shu Fen's wall... finally! i like the background you make! you use the soft colour to it... so it gives me a feel of relaxation! nice works!
I'm not too fond of the extraction, but then again, images done with traditional materials really are a pain to extract. You did a great job emphasizing the ice blue scan with orange. And the orange you used isn't the blinding kind, so that's nice. The texture could be better (is that an ocean ripple filter I see?), but I guess it looks alright. I think the text needs some jazzing up. Decorate it with nice and subtle maple leaves, maybe?
Oh, and I think the magical effects that you added are cute. They make the trees look beaded. :)
The background was painted on photoshop. It started as half blue and half orange added some smudges here and there plus burn and dodge and the last was a frost glass filter. The image was indeed very hard to extract. It took some time. I used several combination of erase, magic erase, background erase and even magic wand delete to extract her. This is the best I could do with her. I have to say I was hesitant to work with a Chen Shu Fen image. Thanks everyone for the comments.
Brillant choice of colour scheme that suits the scan really really well. Scan wise, its a good choice, distinctive eleganance emitting from the scan character. And the oriental type of patterns added to the background tops this wallie. A fav for me ^.^
