This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Marcella, if you're older that's just the reaction you can expect from your parents. They think it's okay for a xx-year-old to do such things but a older person should know better. That doesn't mean they love you less ;)
MarceLLa if your older then thats just the way it is.if u've done nothing wrong to ake them hate you then y would they?if your older then they know you can handle the situation
It was very clear from what I said earlier. That is concrete proof that they love her more than they wil ever love me. Hopefully they won't coz thinking of that creeps me out.
A recurring scene in Noir depicts young Mireille walking down a hallway in her Corsican home and discovering her entire family murdered. This wallpaper is based off the track "Corsican Corridor" in Noir OST 1, which portrays this sequence of events.
In the BGM, haunting vocals create an uneasy atmosphere, with echoes conveying the size and emptiness of the long hallway. Progressive percussion builds tension and depicts Mireille’s progress down the corridor; a final cymbal roll marks her pushing open the door to the veranda, to a horrific revelation.
This wallpaper is a tableau of that fateful moment, attempting to capture the suspense of the scene, the dark atmosphere, and the size and length of the corridor as it must have seemed to a frightened little girl.
Once again amazing wall. I thinkt that the edges around the girl are kinda choppy, but that could just be me.
The shadows and lighting are really nice as well. The grainy feel looks really good as well. ^_^
Really nice job. I +fav ^_^.
When i first saw this wall i thought "the outlines are too thick/uniform" and i still think it now. i like the perspective but it feels a little.. too minimalistic? rather, incomplete. nice try and congrats on winning the war, however.
One of the few walls from the challenge I can honestly say, was beyond anything anyone on my team pulled off, even though its too grainy for my tastes.
Man that's one huge ass corridor, lol. So yeah you have effectively captured the expanse and loneliness of the corridor and giving it that "when's it gonna end" feeling.
You did a good job drawing that girl but the outlines on her are a bit too jagged.
I like the grainy texture ang the glowish effect...makes me wonder what she's gonna find once she enters the light.
As for the outlines...they are kinda too thick but I reli don't mind that. Oh and congrats for winning the challenge ^_^

You already know how I feel about this one - oh wait, haven't acknowledged the good work on the girl, didn't realise you had to do all that work, thought it was just a simple screencap vectoring!
Great job - congrats to us! *cheers!* :)
And hurrah for the tiebreaker battleships!
God Hamster...you make me envious of your background vectoring skills. This wall is hauntingly captivating and I really love this pice for that aspect. And I'm not saying that just because I love Noir. I love this scene in the show and you did a great job in capturing the curious uneasiness of that scene. Your establishing quite an awsome track record with fully vectored recreations of background scenes. Great work and instant fave. Take care.
Uwah~! The wallpapers really makes you feel like you're the actual girl, or you're walking through an actual corridor. The lighting in the wallpaper is great as well ;) Everything is XD Great job with the wallpaper ^^b I like your 'Solitude by the Window' wallpaper as well, great style ;D
I don't know if I ever commented on this wall in the group, but I'll comment now.
The way you captured the thoughts and feelings of the music...it's almost unbelievable. Not only that, but again you show off your crazy perspective skills, and I am yet again in awe of that skill. Sometimes I think you're just TOO good, hamster. Lol, but I guess that's a good thing.
Grr...I wish walls were animated, so then I could see what's behind the door (even though I already know what is there). Cruel, cruel world. v_v;
FAVED!

Oh simple vector but offers perspective i like, although its anime style i prefer those abstract endless corridor types they make me go "huh". in all repect good job and your a member of vectorness, cool so am I. Are you gonna submit anything for this months challenge?
The angle of the picture adds a lot to the feeling of suspense, as well as the colors. It makes for a pleasant, if not, dark atmosphere on the desktop. Very awesome wall.

You won't find that picture of li'l Mireille anywhere else - I had to draw it by hand based on a screencap and her character sheet from the artbook.
As an aside, Yuki Kajiura is one helluva composer. And yay, we won!
If you liked this wallpaper, also see ' solitude by the window', an earlier work in similar style. ^_^
