After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
This is originally for my DA. But I wanna submit it here as well. This wall took me 6 weeks from sketch to vector and edited in PS. Mainly coz I was very very lazy. The bg is my own sketch wich I make to a vector the character is vectored from a scan. It might look what you like to call “simple” But no no no… It’s not I swear. Everything is vectored beside some symbols and I just add some brush and the shadow + reflextion in ps. I wanna do a dawn this time in the traditional Japanese surrounding with them morning fog and all. I like Kauro for her unconditional love to Kenshin. So I wanna make a beautiful environment for her. I hate that hut thing. I donno y I like to make it harder for my self by drawing it from a weird perspective very hard indeed. And the step stone… I could use texture but I decide not to coz I spend a lot of time trying to make them. If it annoys anyone pls forgive my stubbornness. Well that’s about it I think. Enjoy and all the feedback is much appreciated.

The vectored image looks really nice with lots of detail added and i love the custom made background, starting with the grass brushes to the lovely hills across the lake till that beautiful sunset.
Its a favourite for me ^_^

The wallpaper seems just a little too 'flat' but it's really well done nonetheless ^^ The background blends really nicely with the scan of Kaoru ^^ I haven't seen this anime in such a long time XD This wallpaper makes me want to watch it again! ^^ I love this scan of Kaoru ^-^

Very nice scene. The Sakura petals and the fog gives the scene a really nice feeling (just what you wanted). Looks a lot like a Chinese/Japanese painting with colors. XD Even the shadows are good. Hm...maybe you could've added the sun? Just a suggestions, but I would probably be too bright for the purpose.

i absolutely love the vector here, everything is so crisp and smooth
the flowers, petals, water everything just "cliks" and really makes this wall shine.
my only problem is with the grass and the water a little bit.
the grass seems too plain when compared to the rest of the wall, i think if you added a bit more depth it would have been better. you see the straight line edge you can see behind the grass? i think that kinda makes it flat, and although the water is great a few ripples here and there would have been great.
and sorry for the complains LOL i can never vector this well, it really is done extremel well, great work^^

OMG! I love wat you did with Kaoru!! I like the color change on her dress from prple/pink to yellow very good! I also like how you created the BG and the entire scene! I love it! Its very bright and peaceful! I love the shrine in the middle and I like the sakura leaves! Awesome work here! Definilty an instant Favorite! Good job!

The flowers and the vector and everything looks just great.. but i just think that the grass need more work.. the PS grass brush is so boring :/

It's a very beautiful vector. Congratz for the beautifully done, hand-drawn background.
The ripples in the water is done well. The shadows are accurate.
The only thing that bothers me is that you have a yellow sky and the water is blue. If the sky is yellow, then the water needs to reflect yellow too cos that's how it is in real life. But if i were to looks at it from a creative perspective, I dont mind the colour of it cos it gives sum originality to your wall.
The changing of the colour of kaoru's kimono is cleverly done. I would have preferred you keepin it pink though.
The shadow of the shrine on the grass bothers me a bit. It shouldn't be there, in my opinion.
Anywayz great job. The serene mood of the waller reli helps bring out Kaoru's character.

You did a great job on this and your vectoring is great. As for the mistakes, there needs to be more depth of the grass, just like what most people have said already. You kind of need to fix the overlapping of the grass on her Kimono. It looks like you just added grass on top of it, but forgot to continue you it until the end of the page. Oh and it seems like you added the fix after the fog. The lilypad just has a little bit of different perspective than the rest of the wallpaper. It looks like it is bending into your face.
Sorry for the harsh critique there. It is a awesome wallpaper, nonetheless.
