This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Off the bat, let me clear up some things.
No, I havent seen the series. ;) It should be obvious anyway with this wallpaper's theme.
Anyway,I've always wanted to try a silhouette piece but I've found I've never managed to pull something beautiful off. This time, I decided to use this image, which is so beautiful on its own, as the silhouette. He was looking at something or somewhere to go and I got to create that something! It was an all exciting process. After scouring Stock.Xchng for a decent hillside scene, I came across a beautiful one and used it, after running it through the basic filters to make it more anime-colored instead of realistic. The original image had only one rock on which he could stand so I extended the rock, added some grass, and some lively night insects to give his rocky pedestal some life and flow. I then placed it before the hill scene. I made the image very dark, as I wanted to portray a nighttime scene. I also tossed in a couple of planets in there, ones with some real texture and color fluidity instead of the usual slapped on brushes. I found another stock image that had flowing mist and surrounded the planets with it. Overall I think it came out allright.

The colours and art in this are all really well done. you could've just turned the colours up maybe a bit brighter and more cheerful to bring out FLCL's light humour
Firstly, I feel this background suits Naota better than the one in the series, it probably helps that im a big fan of FLCL, but i love this wall on its design and construction alone.

The atmosphere really caught my eye on this one. The sky and foreground look gorgeous and truly give me the feeling I'm in a magical place :D. If I had to criticize, I didn't like the greenery.. it seemed too flat to me (in contrast to the overpowering foreground). Also, the glow from the moons look a bit.. teal. Other than that I really enjoyed this one. Thanks and stellar work!
Lovely wallpaper, the colors are nice. I think the rock/hill Naota is standing on doesn't quite have enough texture and the night insects on top of it make it look like he's standing on another sky - but that also serves to give it a confusing "what's going on?" quality that you get a lot when you watch FLCL.
wonderful wallpaper, effects, design everything is perfect ... I love render eL, the fund is simply prefect, the location of these two planets or moons as ... Heaven sta precious and location of this magnificent star and also the location of the mountains is very good, soil or grass as the perfect good use of this great element, this is certainly a masterful job, good job man Continuous well, greetings
Pretty weird but very good idea with the moons. I think that putting the huge iron instead of the smaller moon would've been better but since you haven't seen the series you wouldn't know what I mean. Don't take this wrong, it's a great wall keep it up
