This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I always liked the ending, with the guys walking in the rain ^_^. I just wanted it to be more sad, though... I tried to partially give the illusion that they are watched through a dirty window. And Natsumi waiting for them adds a bit of optimism.
I think that maybe the fingerprints on the window could be lightened maybe? It looks ghostly *shudders* Also, the number of droplets on the right hand side could be decreased, it looks a little unbalanced.. Otherwise, I think you did a great job with this wall! It has thought put into it, and is well executed. I look forward to more of your work :D
About the droplets thing, it's true, but the left side of the wallpaper had too much light, so I had to add them to give a bit of ballance. It seemed too dark without them. :( I wish I had a better idea...
I think the picture in the center is perfect. The only issue I have is that the flat droplets on the bottom are too much of a contrast to the perspective of the picture. Tis a great wall though.
I love this idea. It's just so cool. And the adding of fingerprints -- brilliant. I really love what you've done with this. Really amazing insight and work. Great job. ^_^
The thumbnail looks killer, too bad it lost most of it's awesomeness when I zoomed up XD If you can expand more on the road and add a better texture, it'll be murderous XD The lighting is soo good =D I like this wall...I like I like I like >.<

I think it looks very good. It's a bit blurry on it's full size, but it's great on 1024x768 resolution. I love the darkness and drops of water effect is pretty realistic. +fav
Heh I didn't read your description and I was about to ask, 'Is this meant to look like the viewpoint is through a window?' So I guess you got that effect spot-on :D It's an interesting way of working grunge textures and things into a scenic wall.
I guess something you could do to increase the realism is add more than one direction blur to the lights in particular. There should be faint blur lines coming off at angles too, like 30 degrees tilt either way from vertical. Like pointing out to the corners of a hexagon. That might be hard to understand but if you go look at photos of streetlamps at night and stuff you might see what I mean >.>;
I really like the ending but not the song lol. So this is a screencap you blew up I see.Very nice wow I had to take a double take on that one I see where your coming from now it's in the point of view of us looking out the window. thats a new one I've never see a wall like this very cool. I like the Fingerprints on the glass to it gives it that gloomy feel. "Wow the rain just keeps comin down doesn't it yup makes me feel kinda blue" Sorry just a line from the series ep.28 Ginji said it lol. And I also think that there are not enough Get Backers wall out there. And it's one of my all time fav shows so thank you.(*^_^*) Overall A- but still a fav.
Appropriately titled! Nice and simple Black and white wall and a very good one at that. It's quite hard to pull of B&W wallpaper and you did an excellent job. Very nice contrast... am not too crazy about the droplets though. I like the addition of the fingerprints it gives the wall a mysterious yet thrilling feel. Keep them coming.
I really like this. It definately has a film noir feeling to it. Nifty idea with making it into a window being looked out of. I like the central image a lot, I'm not sure why but I'm loving this wallpaper a lot. Nice work. :)
Wow, a nice wall done by you! the effect of the fingerprints is a great idea! i like it much! and the lightning is so great! i like it! anyway, great wall and great works!
Wow. Like this very much. Firstly, great idea. Nextly, nicely done rain-on-window effects. Love the drops of water, love the hand print, love the misting up of the glass too. Though the right-across-the-middle strip of wiped away condensation (that's what it is right?) looks a little odd - maybe a smaller, more irregular patch wiped away would look more authentic. But hey, who cares, it's cool! Very nice. Oh and I think you're spot on with the melancholy.
