As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. So anyway, I've wanted to do an exclusively mecha wallpaper for a while, and this one really caught my interest: the battle between Kira and Shinn ^^ So I went for a dark battle in the sky kind of look, with their immediate area lit by the weapons and sparks and what not. Pretend! XD I re-created the lighting effects in the original scan too :o

Omg3x...this is unbelievable work. I think this is the best wallpaper I've ever seen (biased, because I love gsd). you've done a great job. very nice background and effects, and the title "clash of the titans", brilliant. I am looking forward for your next great works. thanks. and oh yeah, I'll put it as my fav wallpaper.

ZomG~! nat...you my heroine XD~! lol this is an awesome wallpaper. you did good job on the blending and cg. hmz..I still thinks the lighning could have abit more effect, but mayB that would ruined the scan and probably become too bright. it's kinda funny...if you take out the scan, the wallpaper looks so calm and peacefull. when there is a scan, it's like...a fight in heaven xD. anyways good job~!

Lol guess i should hold off on my robotech wall for a while so I don't repeat the air combat theme ;)

cool wall. I like the clouds and how you blended the right mech in as if it was coming up or going down into the clouds. I haven't seen gundam seed so I don't know how the mecha stay in the air but clouds should be pushed around from their boosters. ( at least on the one on the right ) but thats the only thing I can point out. just a minor thing.

but overall all its a freaking awesome wall. definate fav.

Great extraction skills you hav there =D, with lots of added effects like the flash from light sabers =D

Wow the lower cloudwork blends really nice with the wallpaper X3 Very nice job with the scan as well.
I am not very fond of that mottion blur effect though. Maybe because i see it on a 1024x :3

Another great wall made by nat! this is a really great wall! the robot and the background effect are just great! and the laser sword effect is awesome! especialy the background, the cloud is just great ai it! well, nat just have the skill! nice work of the wall! waiting for your next work!

O wow! Awesome wallpaper Ningen! I love the work you've done on extracting and cleaning the scan. The wallpaper version is breathtaking. The clouds in the background are very realistic also. I would say though that you might want to add some motion to the clouds such like when an object shoots through it leaving a hole. I don't think it is very reasonable to have the clouds just sitting there seemingly peaceful but two giants fighting with such destructive weapons. Lastly, you might want to do something about the dragoon effect that was there from the scan. It would make the scene more dramatic. Hope my comments help instead of pissing you off :D
