This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Voila~ Second shot at a vectored wallpaper. This time, I used shapes rather than strokes (which is what I used for Hikaru in "Unwell") and I can see a huge difference already. :O As much as I am disappointed to say it, I do believe I prefer this one over my Hikaru wallpaper. Reasons are:
1) The vector method is different, and shapes totally pwn strokes.
2) The background looks much more superb.
3) Really, I believe that everything here is a huge step from my other wall. :)
Sorry Hikaru-fans, but this wall's star is (still his brother, at the very least :P), Hitachiin Kaoru! :) This screenshot was taken from Episode 21: Until The Day It Turns Into A Pumpkin (Correct me on the title if I'm wrong :P). Okay, spoiler time. :)

I felt that the episode really showed a lot (considering...) of Kaoru's emotions (and that's just too sweet :P). It was obvious that Kaoru knew that his brother had (some sort of) feelings towards Haruhi (which, in their case, is *gasp* someone out of their little two-person world). The screenshot that I used for this wallpaper was when Kaoru and the class president was kicked inside a room and locked there, and he was (pretty much talking to himself :P) ...yeah. Talking to himself. :) And he got all emotional... *kYuu * It was very cute and I just knew I had to make a wallpaper for Kaoru. After all, if I don't, Hikaru would probably gobble me up for treating his brother unfairly. :O (He did worry about Kaoru --thinking he would be just as crazy as he was without his other half) when he was trapped in the net with Haruhi. :P) And to let go of his brother just like that... He deserves his very own wall. :) Go Kaoru! :D
Alrighty! (Yes, I realize this is getting long, but you'll love the wall enough to read this far, right? *smiles*) So if anyone was wondering why I decided to title this wallpaper, "Resounding", I'm not quite sure. It actually sprang to my head when I was listening to "UVERworld - D-technolife" (whoot UVERworld :P) while I was setting up the "-resounding- vectors of Kaoru" to the left of the wall. (hurhur, funny, yes? ...not really. :P) To be honest, the word's been "resounding" in my head for quite some time... (haha, okay, enough of my worthless puns.) *waits* ...Okay! Last one! --All of Kaoru's "resounding" memories! :D Whoot! *runs away from the flying rotten tomatoes* xP

Nice wallpaper! Although it's seems difficult for me to distinguish the Hitachiin twins, (Haruhi can do it that's why she's a special character) their both great together or alone. Kaoru looks so cute with that expression. XD
The background is cool and I think the title, even if you're not sure why you named "Resounding", is quite odd yes, but at the same time appropriate, liked the name you gave to this wall!

The background is nice too! I liked the elements used and the overall composition, except the color (sorry)! I don't think that pinkish colors fit Kaoru that much!

OMGOMGOMG it's Kaoru~I LOVE Kaoru...yeah, you're right, episode 21 did show a lot of what Kaoru feels about his brother and the SLOWLY expanding world around them.
