After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Odd. I can't seem to copy a vectored image properly from Adobe Illustrator. Whatever I do, rasterize to 600dpi, or 'select all' + copy & paste', as soon as it lands in Photoshop, it looks crappy, like all edgy and low-res. Anyone any experience with this?

To the wallpaper: this thing was actually completed a few weeks ago, I was keeping it safe until Shinndou.com would kick in so here it is. I always wanted to make atleast one wallpaper about Aria which is probably my most favorite slice of life serie along with Mushishi. It's hard to hate Akari and her friends. :)
Akari got vectored off this scan, which actually had a different pose so I just went and changed her pose redrawing her central part, and her clothes as well. Poor Aria President (the animal in the original scan) was too white and awkward for the kind of idea I had in mind, haha. The background has been entirely drawn and painted from scratch, it was rather fun and I am slowly getting the hang of it, at painting through photoshop. I also pimped Akari a bit to make her shine and look even more cute.
And that's it, for further resolutions, you can now visit Shinndou.com!

P.P.S. I am really sorry I can't edit anything of this wallpaper because I'm currently using a small laptop which doesn't really allow me to even start photoshop, lol. As for the water/sea, that was actually my first attempt at it. oh well, practice will make better, I think.

VERY good wall - the Neo-Venice idea is awesome. My ONLY gripe is the posts in the water.. they look a bit fake and the shadows on the water foam doesn't look natural. With that being said, sweet job, especially on the sky island thing.

I can really appreciate things that are drawn from scratch. the clouds look cotton candy flurry fluffy. and the houses are great. the only thing you can probably improve on is the water. :D

Wow... my friend just came back from Venice, and she showed me some pics, so I can definitely enjoy the wall to its fullest extent now XD I've tried re-drawing scans before, so the effort in this wall really stands out to me. That's one schnazzy wall :3
Very clean and beautiful wall! the vector is absolutely impeccable. for further response to how amazing I think the vector is, reread otakugaijin's capital letters shout ^. the background is very well suited and nicely done, very impressive since it's from scratch. the only thing that I can possibly say I'm not fully satisfied with is the water, more specifically, the ripples/shadow/foam "created" by the boat. but still people have got to this wallpaper ^^

Ok i must say this scenic wall really owns. it's not overcharged, it actually gives a real impression of freedom, or it's just me taking illicit stuff (i don't do cannabis tho). the wood textures (in fact it's not texture, hey, its painting?)
are very well done, as well, in fact, as the rest of the wall. You know i love scenic stuff, so it's definitely a fav from me! congrats
