Sitting at my desk, twittling my thumbs, and praying that something will magically happen and all my work will be done for the night... Long and drawn out right? :S
I came across a scan of Nana recently and I knew that if I didn't try making a wall out of it I'd regret it. So grabbed a couple of hours off my hands and started creating this wall in photoshop. I went for the complete simple look. It took me a while to figure out what was too much and what was too less! Needed so much opinions from others before making real decisions and going head on with the design.
The title "trendwhore" I reckon suits Nana Osaki really well! A big shout out and credit to deviantart for bringing me ideas. Nana Osaki is a wild raunchy chick with a mild cool side. trendy yet trashy. trendwhore. The below captions says "Funk it Nana. we Love you." cause I'm sure we all do! She's got a sad and complicated past but her attitude is pretty much Funk it. live life. love what i do. Wanted to somehow illustrate that. Would appreciate comments very much!!
Nicuh 8) love the tekst and brush work. the scan/drawing is a good one also. The style and all is very fitting. But the brushwork i find a bit to hard to be fitting the scan. The tekst below it is good and fitting and better compared to the brush work. great job keep it up
Nice first submission. Trendwhore-ish indeed, in a good way. Simple white walls are the best, and you certainly pulled off the simple minimalistic look very well. Love the fonts you used for "trendwhore", it makes the wall very bold and full of attitude. :3 Stylish to the maxX. Good job, hope to see more of your walls later!
The wall has some very nice elements, but I almost think it is too simple. The text is rather good and the scan was cleaned up rather nicely. good work!
This wall so simple that its awesome, black and white are always good in my opinion if correctly set out.
the brush work and the roughness of the scan is great.
my only problem is the little text "funk it..." i dont like the font
deserves a fave
I can definitely agree with the reasoning on this wall; trendwhore indeed XD You portray Nana well and the wall is made simply, cleanly, but it leaves a stylish impression behind. Good job :D
For a first submission it is really nice =)!
The text corresponds quite well to the character of Nana and the fonts you have used also.
Maybe the solid black of the brushes and a bit for the text is to harsh in comparaison to the scan (which is well cleaned up by the way ^^).
Keep the good work ;).
I love it when people use only black and white! The wallpaper is simple and I REALLY love that! The scan was a very good choice, indeed! I love the sketchy look, when done right. Great job!
