******* FULL VIEW PLEASE *****

Well ... my entry for the battleground challenge Vertigo (EVI vs Morrow days ) ...
We won ... barely but we won anyway
I must admit that the other team's walls were fantastic and i was surprised with the results ...
Of course my comrades walls were amazing as well ...

Anyway ...
I wanted to wall RahXephon ( that spelling kills me each time i want to write this word ... ) ever since i saw Kalico's wall : Sunday i'll be gone ...

After the challenge was set, i remembered a truly awesome scan i saw in the RahXephon gallery and decide to wall it ...

It was just a perfect scan, good dimensions, excellent quality ... ready to wall ... some kind of scan you are glad to work with ^^

I was hesitating between a grunge/abstract look and a scan extension with cloudy background and so on ...
After consulting my team , i decided to go for the scan extension thing to keep the oil painting effect of it

To fit my idea, i had to re-cg the scan to remove the text and complete the wing ...
Of course the re-cg is not perfect but i keep pratising it ...


I then extent the sky .. it was pretty hard to keep the brush strokes "texture" since the sky areas were not that big ...
same thing with the clouds ... it was hard to find some that fit the paiting style of those already presents on the scan ...

I added the Robot because i wanted to wall on the concept "Falling Angel/ Raising Angel" ...
Plus i add depth into the wall ... even though i have the feeling that i didn't blurry it enough ...

...finally i added crackles to let people think it is like a fresco in an abandonned temple or something :)

PS : I never wathched RahXephon .. hence, i'm still downloading the whole serie ...
So please be gentle if this doesn't really suit the show ^^
