This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
How long has it been...2-3 months since I last submit something.
hmm I am back I guess. I wasn't expecting to return so soon; especially not with a vector wall.
Anyways I ll keep it short. Sanji was cutout from an old One Piece cover. i ve been thinking about to wall this since last year but didn't have the guts till the day before. The composition is kinda random but the idea is coming from the scan itself. Nothing too original... Atmosphere is moody as always the way I like it. And wow it doesn't have any texture in it.
lastly I wanna thank tate and flyin for the checks.
Wassup Fuku! Nice wall! I really like it personally. Very vectory and fun! text is the only thing meh... but that hardly matters, its crisp and colorful and melancholy at the same time (at least thats what I got by Sanji's expression. Nice wall!
Yeah I love your vectoring of Sanji.
Colors are great, the gradient in the water is nicely done.
And I agree that the smoke that looks almost like the clouds is cool.
Something about the sky is bugging me though. Maybe it's that the gradient on the water is really nice and the sun doesn't have a gradient around it to smooth it in the sky, so the difference between them clashes too much for me.
Beside that... oh I like the font you used for the title, it really matches the theme.
I really like the guy in this wall xD tho i know nothing of one piece xP
anyway the only thing im not digging i guess is the text @_@ something more natural looking woulda been better but all in all nice work fuku :D
Nice wall! Most of the time I like vector walls and this one has good choice of colours and so. The only thing is the text too, but I guess it's really subjective ^^ Good work!
It's always hard to comment when you know what I think already x) Really nic vectoring, especially for the mountains in the back, and I love how it's so bright, yet melancholy.
Sweet job fuku x) I told you already, but you haven't lost your touch :)
Nothing really seems to work in this, for me. The composition is pretty nice, but you could've worked on the atmosphere some more. Like the sun, I've never seen it with as little intensity as in this wall. x] Fix that, and it'll probably fit alot more.
And I don't like the stroke styled lines, but I'll disregard that, since you havent walled in a pretty long time. But it's good to see you walling again.
Fuku is baaaaaaaack.. ;__;
but where are ya..? I've been waiting for you the whole week.. o__o
anyway, great wallpaper.. very stylish and unique! XD
favie
It's been awhile since I've seriously commented a wallpaper... so here we go.
The first thing I notice is those clouds, they definitely look unnatural and don't blend well at all... they seem poorly done. The text doesn't look very good with its surroundings, either, maybe it's cos it's Bevel & Emboss-d (or something of the sort.) The water seems too realistic compared to the vectored character, it'd definitely look a lot better if the water was more abstract-vector based. Some of the lines on the character and balcony-type thing get pixellated in areas, maybe it's because you're overlaying a blur or the light from the sun? I don't know why, but those seem to be the most common problems when vectored lines get pixellated.
