Sitting at my desk, twittling my thumbs, and praying that something will magically happen and all my work will be done for the night... Long and drawn out right? :S
Haven't made anythign in a while, so I did a fairly simple one. Yachiru was vectored from a screenshot. One stock picture of a sky. And... the wall she's sitting on is a cleaned screencap. Grabbed some textures from Desktop Anime to finish it off.
The edge of the wall looks blurred, but otherwise, it looks great. I like the way you did the fonts, and the butterfly in the background. Glad to see you're walling again :D
Dhias beat me to telling you about the blurry wall edges. And the vector really stands out from the watercolor-like background. Maybe you could add some texture on the vector too? But it doesn't look bad...it looks great, in fact. Just curious on what it would look like with textures.
Lovely composition, and the text works nicely. Great job as usual. :)
Beautiful, I love the older photo feel to it, reminds me of a toned B&W shot with a high ISO film, producing a very nice film grain. Personaly, I would have tried applying a bit of the film grain appearance to Yachiru as well. The lack of grain (or texture) on Yachiru does help draw the eye, and provides a sense of "timelessness" which is well suited to a shinigami.
Personaly, I think applying the texture to Yachiru would make the image more photo-like. If you have ever seen a B&W photograph that is more than a few decades old, you know what I mean.
Like dhias and nuniko say, the edge of the wall look blurred... and maybe you could add some more image to the background. i bet it'll make it better.. nice work for the fonts. and i like your background too, nice colour works of it. anyway, nice wall!
Oh wow! That really is one really good Yachiru wallpaper! The color combination is very interesting, looks like it came straight from the anime. Very well done! And she just looks so cute!
I like this wallpaper. Its simple and nice. Two Thumbs Up =). I especially like the font used very cool. Plus its good to see a wallpaper with Yachirus in it.
Ooh..interesting wallpaper, it looks blurry but that's the part I kinda like, while others don't. yeah mayB you could add texture to the girl to give it a good blend on the back, now you made a contrast that doesn't look good. but the concept is nice and nice to see a wall from you again. keep the works~!
Wow .. she s even a vector! great job making it from a screenshot, but the wall is a bit blur though, shouldnt it be on the same focus as Yachiru? (suddenly realise that nuni and the rest has already mentioned that :P)
but good work none the less!
I see what you were going for, and I think you nailed it. The sepia tones of the background, the use of blurring here and there. It truly produces an old photograph effect. The subtle glow of the character reminds of some shots I've seen done by Leica cameras.
