After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

I wanted to make this more atmospheric and old looking than visually impressive. I thought the Soul Link anime was quite an interesting concept (though like expected, they managed to screw up the anime itself)

Also, I'm using this opportunity to advertise the LP Studio Forums. I have recently created it, but I'm will be very greatful if you would like to participate. I really want those interested in abstract, minimalism, and surrealism to join the graphic arts section of the forums (others are welcome too), if you want to discuss walling and other CG. You can also receive extra critique and help as well.
Plus, if you have any interest in writing music or arranging music, there is a section for that as well. I'm trying to get the forums started :) If you just wanna drop a line on the forums, feel free to do so as well!

But I don't think that the final fantasy scan even if filtered and worked at, matches a scan from another anime. But thats just me, I still like this wall. You make me jealous...being able to make a wallpaper so fast and make it look so good XP the background scan really matches the character you chose, and you really get the sense of her being lost in a strange slums.

Wow! Great job on this one! I really like the texture of the wallpaper and also the soft kind of old glow to the wall makes it looks even more interesting although Soulink is more futuristic but great job overall!
I do agree that you have done a lot to make the two scans as cohesive as possible, but nonetheless it still seems to be detached, two separate entities that just happen to be juxtaposed upon one another. Probably sounds like pretty vague criticism, but that's the overall impression I get. And as others have said, the art styles are dissimilar as well.
Hmm my first thinking was, oh what a great wallpaper. The colors are fitting and it seems like the scan was there before. But in the end i think it would have been better when the people in the background wouldn't be there.
Couse they are 3d from FFVII Advanced children. they doesn't fit to the scan.
But it is only my opinion.

Low effort but nice blending. If you spent more time on this I'm sure it would have looked beautiful, especially once you've softened and edited the background.

Well i think you hit your target to make an old looking wallpaper and even thought the people on background doesn't match with the scan of soul link i really like it.
I find this wallpaper splendid! It is really beautiful work, knowledge to manage the attention on the principal character in foreground and to give to the background a good dark side ;) This image deserves that it is in my favourites =)

The scan is well integrated, and the colors are matching the background... just a small detail... the lady's left elbow is almost impossible to distinguish (at least for me) from the background... that's what annoyed me looking at this...
Seems like you added some texture too! that looks good ^^

However, I believe the texture is quite unnecesary, it seems to worsen the effect of age rather than display it.
Other than that, the blending is fine
And yeah, they screw up the anime so badly I gave up halfway, it was just too much effort >_>
