There are wallpaper techniques that were forgotten long ago...
One of the most powerful technique is C4D for sure.
This wallpaper uses the C4D (Cinema 4D) technique to create a nice overall flow.
I reall enjoyed making this wallpaper, mainly becouse you have so many different options on how to manipulate the render etc, while using C4D.
A bit tricky was the shining blade, mainly becouse I had to remove the noise of the lens flare in a different way as just using the noise filter in Photoshop. The aura around saber was created using different brushes to create a nice flow with the render. After that, I applied a colorbalance to give the wallpaper a "warm" color.
Fate/stay night is a series/game that everyone should have played/watched once :).
This wallpaper is really nice and pretty, I like it alot since it catches the persons attention too just right off the bat. *laughs* It had caught my eye the first moment I saw it...very nicely done.
There are really nice effects used on this wall. I particularly like how the sword is. To me, it seems kinda weird that her clothes just goes and fades into the background at the sides...and the "shining blade" placement seems out of palce (though im not sure where i would put it). But as a whole, the wall looks awesome...nice job
O0o0o Saber >D ~!
she's so pretty T.T...
I hadn't seen this scan before...
where did you get it??
the light effects are great =]
they make her stand out in a nice way.
Really nice ^^

Hey this does looks good. A full view the details very show ^_^
The rendering looks really does look great and you chose an awesome scan. Love that stance.
A good touch on the blade with the glow and the surrounding bg.
*Two Thumbs up*

Nice choice of using dark saber :D. Just a note though, there's another program called blender which you can use to create 3d things. It's rather advanced so it's capable of a lot of different things (even fluids :). I suggest you give it a look: http://www.blender3d.org
Awesome wallpaper man. i like it. pretty cool effect you used there with the background. if i'm not mistaken you used c4ds. anyhow good work on the wallpaper.
You are correct about the "lost ways of wallpapering", its not often that we see wallpapers with this style of background anymore. The only complaint would be that the words are a bit too small, but I quite enjoy how saber seems to melt in from the background with such force thanks to the killer work on her blade.
The white beam in the middle looks off. It just goes straight (sp?) up. I think it be better if you made it around Sabers sword instead of her whole body or someting...
Yet another wallpaper of my favourite character. Darn. Keep em' comin! :D
I have to say, this Saber doesn't look very Saberish to me, on looking at the facial expression. But I like the idea of the 'spotlight' illuminating her. :D

The effects of light around Saber as well as the dark background made of this wallpaper very beautiful, it is not the first time that I see that the dark shared with the light to give a good job ^^
