This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Simoun a series that I like, I started to seek a wallpaper on the site but it did not have there, therefore I launched out to try to make the 1st wall of simoun, I have also do it for a nonofficial site of simoun which is in construction
This works takes me one week, there is about 20 layers.
Scan of characters comes from here,
the clouds is a stock photo.
Thanks French speaking people groupe to have helped me during this work.

I hope that my simple work will push you to discover this series if you do not know it yet.

Edit : After advices of last minutes, i corrected some some points ... (exctraction and blur on aircraft)

I'm not familiar with the series, but i looks great!. True...a smple work, ut it looks great!, the Sc are awesome indeed, and the stock foto bg, i excelent! relly...very summy ^^.
Maybe the simoun on the clouds is a little rare...bizzare...but it's not big deal!. And yes...i want to see the series, you accomplish your task xD

This earns a fave from me just for being the first Simoun wallpaper on this site. I love that show. (Need to get caught up on the last few episodes, but it's great.) The wall's a bit bright for my liking but it still looks really good. Thank you, and let's hope this brings Simoun a bit more attention.

Arg. looks great in thumbnail, but things get nasty when enlarged, sorry Treille. some of the girls need a revised extraction, the simoun (aircraft) needs to be blurred lightly to simulate distance. these two things are very disturbing, so just fix it and it'll be great ;)

OH! i love simoun! this is my fav scan! i'm thrilled to see you made a wall out of it! and a beautiful one at that! i love it! it's really bright, and it only makes the pics more vibrant ( which is good for me : ), but i wasn't so sure about the title in the back. i think it distracts from the subject.
in my favs, and keep up the great work ^ ^

Just checked out the series on ANN for more info. Sound convincing so i will give it a shot.
Like the stock photo you used, very scenic but extraction of characters is letting this wall down.
Overall a good job ^_^

That looks pretty nice, I liked how you chose to feature the title, that's a good idea ^^
The only thing that I don't like that much is the actual extraction. Some of the outlines are not well extracted.
Anyway, that's still a nice work! Keep it up!

The display is really great but in my opinion the sun kills the wallpaper. :s

You should have let a blue sky with your fluffy and sweet clouds. But still, the idea is good.

Very lovely wallpaper. It has such a summery feel to it it brings some nostalgia for when it first aired. I wish that more of the characters could have been in the image, but then again, that would probably clutter things up. Wish there were more Simoun wallpapers out there!
