This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
I was looking the other day and was somewhat amazed to see the lack of Trigun Wallpapers...one of my faavorites of classic anime series. Upon seeing this I decided that I just had to Make a Trigun Wall.
In making this wall I didn't want it to be like most of the Trigun walls I've see on other sites that just slap a picture of Vash over a blank/ boring/ unrelated backdrop. I wanted to make a wall that looked like a scene from the show and put vash in a setting that fit him perfectly. I think the end result came out pretty good. I know the background is a bit plain/ drab but if you've seen the show I think you'd agree that it matches the show pretty well.
Hope you like it...and as always comments are appreciated.
I think Vash's hair still has some odd-coloured bits at the edges near the top, and maybe you could lighten the black outline of the cross to make it blend better with the painting like background. Otherwise, great job! I love the shocked looking cat in the background, nice touch!
I think this background is awesome! I've seen this pic of Vash used before, but not as well. Here, it actually makes sense and seems to fit in more. I like your idea of creating a scene from the anime, too. Good job! ^^
I have to admit, at first glance I didn't think this wallpaper was really that good. I thought "Ah what is this, that image of Vash pasted there with something and the text, looks so off-center...". But then I took a closer look and found Kuroneko-sama leaping about, not to mention really looking at the background. So I found out this was actually very well balanced! The two characters (three, if you count the cat :p) fit the background perfectly, and you can almost imagine Vash walking up to the camera. Very good! ^^
