This wallpaper gives us a perfect example of how a simple manga scan can be turned into a beautiful vector. Not only did danalm trace the lineart, but he also added amazing details and a simple, yet wonderful background. Furthermore, the wallpaper shows us how the monochromatic style can make your work look really interesting.
Lol Really? Wow You always seem to Surprise me tide-kun. Well hey im going to get some food and think about the nickname i'll make for you *Huggles* Take care Buddy Bai Bai =]
I got this scan from endlessrain.org and besides a couple of brushes I used this wallpaper was done by me.
The vine onn the columns was a brush, I used a stock photo to make the clouds, they turned out pink because of freak experiment.
The pathway is is made of golden bricks! It was a texture I found and I of course added the golden color. The light behind her is how heaven is represented, I also addded a bit of yellow to it because inside any church you will see some amazing paintings. On my trip to Russia there was a church and I saw the most beautiful painting of Christ and there was this amazing light behind him. That were I got my insperation.
I am not comparing Sailor moon to christ, so dont worry. I guess right there she looked like an angel and I wanted her to have a beautiful setting. Oh before I forget, that line above her I decided to keep (cause I like it) because it added a magical feeling to me. Please Comment
***jaws drop***....Awwwww wow this is the most beautiful inspirational wall i ever saw.
The whole setting of it is so pretty. The BG is fantastic. The cloud s is absolutely gorgeous.
And the vines on the gates adds contrast to it.Love the texture of the pathway. So golden indeed.

*drools* One word to describe this wall : BEAUTIFUL. I haven't seen any Sailor Moon wallpaper in a long time. This one is absolutely gorgeous!! The background is amazing! Orange sky looks very daramatic and it fits well with the image. I think you did a great job on this! =D
It's a very pretty wallpaper :) my only issue would be the vines, they stand out a bit too much. probably would've been better not to have them. but besides that, the rest of the wallpaper is really nice.

Im sure it might not have been very Simple, for you to make, but its build pretty easy, but its so Magical, and so Shiny!! ^^ I love the bg, and the brush work, its very clean, and clear! :) Well, its very pretty, and very shiny. Ill add it to my favs! XD
Good Luck, im sure its going to be one of your bests!! ^.~

Surprisingly, its very clean. i didn't expect to see something like this in full-view to be so effortlessly clean, that's its good points.
my only suggestion would be that the vine's leaves are a little crayon-ish, or a little childish in style, in comparison to the whole wall. i would suggest using stock photos of leaves next time just to give it some flair of its own. also, the pillars can be better than just a straight stroke with lines on it. i would suggest again, of using stock photos for that OR, if you would want to really make your own pillars, try embossing the lines instead of just drawing them. that way, the pillars convey depth and at the same time, be more meaningful, not only graphically but in concept since your wallpaper seemed to go for that divine look. the gate's perspective turn me off a bit, but its amazing how its very realistic at the same time. finally, my last critique would be the crucifixes layed beside the gates. i would suggest removing the "glow" of each cross, and would have used the dodge and burn tool to give it its right shadows and lighting.
and oh, the sky would have been better if it was a glorious yellow instead of a mere orangey color. that would have given its extra spunk. ;)
You improved much from the zero session. I really like the background, and Serena looks very calm, with that background. I specially like the effects in the clouds.
Nice scan ,nice background effects, swesome blending !
But maybe the scan took too kinda samll place ,or the cloud s were given too thickly,or the bg color was made so much like the girl's hair, the girl desn't show in a major place
B * E * A * you * T * I * F * you * L ..*** GRAT JOB REALLY, THE wallpaper IS SO CUTE!! I LOVE IT CONGRATULATIONS!! SERIUSLY IT IS AWESOME! KEEP WORKING LIKE THAT!
