After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!
Odd. I can't seem to copy a vectored image properly from Adobe Illustrator. Whatever I do, rasterize to 600dpi, or 'select all' + copy & paste', as soon as it lands in Photoshop, it looks crappy, like all edgy and low-res. Anyone any experience with this?
Featuring Kiba from Wolf's Rain, this is my entry for the EVI vs. TLM sudden-death all-in challenge - hence the 'fallen warrior' concept and 'The Last Breath' title.
Unfortunately we lost - ending our 3 rounds winning streak. Our troops were undermanned and TLM's walls are amazing - congrats for the win you guys!
That said, I have totally fallen in love with digital paintings recently, and decided to give it a go painting this one from scratch based on this scan.
So yes - this is 100% painted from scratch in Photoshop and no other scans/stockphotos were used. Added mouth+teeth, top part or the body, background, snow fx+texture.
A special thankyou to mickyoko, for his beautiful EVA wall brought me to the wonderful world of digital painting - thanks mate, you're an inspiration!
And for my EVI teammates, this is not goodbye yet since I forgot we have a 2nd HQ , but thank you all for being such awesome teammates and I'm glad to be part of this group. This wall is for you :)

The moment i saw it on the result page of our battle [TLM prevails!] i knew i definetly will fav it the moment it appears on AP. ok, the wall is rather monotony, all these fluffs from left to right. just kidding -- with every fluffy hair string i see i say this wall is amazing. so that's like a lot of 'amazing' words, aint it ;p i request 1280x1024 to put it on my pc at work :)
This wall freaking owned man, this was the first wall from EVI that I saw..and I was like "WTF HOW THE HELL DID WE WIN IF THEY WHIPPED SHIT LIKE THIS OUT?!!". freaking sweet job. very creative use of the grass tool.
*nods* Gorgeous paint job... this kinda reminds me of those stunning National Geographic photographs... love how you managed to balance detail with a simple composition to make a stunning wall ^^
Whoa, lot of nice wallpapers today, it's a shame I can only highlight one at time. But I am glad you decided to try digital painting, it's one of the most self-rewarding techniques once you get the hang of it. Awesome job on this wallpaper.
