This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Yay! My very first grunge wall. When I saw this scan at the Fruits Basket section I just said to myself that it would be perfect with a grunge background. The result is what you see before you. I followed Debs' advice and used a lot of brushes. I also used some stock photos that again came with one of my editing software. But the stock is hardly noticeable now. I will gladly appreciate all comments specially from the grunge experts. Anything to improve my wall making ability. Hope you guys like it.
Note: I couldn't think of any other title to go with it ^_^

I think the font has been subsumed into the background ><;; but otherwise, I agree that this scan suits the grunge look. Perhaps a reduction of the size of the flower brush on the left side would look better.. and the rake like brush strokes at the top look obvious... but that's my personal taste. Overall, I think it's a good job for a first grunge. I must try my hand at this grunge thing too.
Nice, I like the colour scheme and how you've chosen to use both red and black instead of just one colour. (I'm guilty of that a lot.) The image is nice, the appearence of it is interesting--it has a sort of watercolour paper effect which is nice but the whiteness of her skin looks more over-exposed then normal so maybe if you can tone that down a bit she'll blend in a bit more with the dark background.
I think you did a good job for first grunge wall though and it has an interesting texture. I love the font, it's very suitable. But yeah, I like this is, you've done a good job. :)
This I like.. The grunge is good, and it really suits Rin, but it is a little bit too much. If that effect wasn't so strong, it'd be better, but it's really good the way it is. ^^ Nice work!
Very interesting texture for the background. It has a gothic feeling to it, too. Very dark and fitting for this image of Rin from Fruits Basket. I like it! Great work as always!
Rin is a great character for a grunge wall. Makes me almost not hate her. >.> Anyway, the only thing I really dislike is the text--I can't read it. There's also her bright skin, but that doesn't bother me so much because she IS pretty pale.
I really like the background on this wall it seems to match the character perfectly and kinda gives it a sad and dark feel...but i can't really read the words that are written there...if it wasn't for that i think it would be absolutely perfect. i give this wall an A ^^ keep up the good work
