This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.
While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.
Basically the woman in the kimono is based from a pic of gong li as hatsumomo from memoirs of a geisha. i just thought i'd use 'different' colors this time x) heehee
sorry that this thing is crowding your icon space :( and there are a lot of 'mysterious' elements in this wall like the tree, the flower thing attached to the obi, and the green thingy that's wrapped around it. well it's just a sort of sash thingy. arghh i was just trying to be creative and abstract that's why it looks so weird D:
and OMG THE FAN is a disaster @_@;; gomenasai.. other than that i kind like the pattern on the kimono because it's unusual. well, enjoy commenting on this one :D
O this is great! Memoirs of a Geisha was an absolutely lovely book, and I think the mix of the abstract art and the classic style is mixed together so nicely here!
Vibrant colors bursting out of the kimono are really, *really* nice as well. Always appreciated by someone like me. xD;
Keep it up! ^^b

I like this, particularly the colors. I also appreciate the fact that the main figure is placed to the left (I like having my icons on the right). I don't much care for the typography, it seems unnecessary and actually seems to draw my attention away from the central figure. Overall though, it's really quite well made.
I think the color of the bow/knot on her back and the kimono contrast too much, it hurts my eyes =/. Aside from that, the other colors are vibrant and fits in with the pop art concept nicely.
Really beautiful!
It's okay with all the brushes. I don't like other icons on my desktop, than the waist-basket. ;P
And the fan isn't this terrible. ^^

Mr Knight in Shining Armor, could you help me? I'm looking for a thief. You see, he's stolen my heart, and I want it back.
