Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
This actually started out as a splash page for my site, but I thought 'hey I haven't submitted anything in a long while" so I widened it and turned it into this! Wanted to do a kinda manga styilized black & white piece. Simplistic but enough going on that hopefully it's still appealing to the eye. Didn't want something that would make it impossible to see your desktop icons ^_^. This one didn't take me too long to make. I think it goes faster for me when I'm just drawing stuff myself instead of having to manipulate things. Anywho, hope people enjoy it!
Wow, you're not kidding with that title. It certainly is melochomatic and very zen. I love the moon and the clouds, those are very cool; quite original. This guy, done mangnificantly I might add, looks like he needs a hug. *hugs*
Very monchromatic, it is.
Makes me remember of dreary nights, I sitting parallel with the unverse above and below me, watching the skies, deep in thought over things I can manipulate and things I have no control of.
About the guy:
He needs some cheering up.
Overall, very simplistic and eye-catching wallpaper.
Good, simple technique. The scan's nice and clean. I think that some of the shapes in the background could have been more solid. The moon (?) looks as though it's been painted instead of it being a clean circle. Good work though!
I like the mix of black, gray, and white colors. It creates this realistic and original perspective. The unique blrush you used makes this chunky look to it. It's quite simple but it would make a good desktop background. Keep the work and effort up.
Nice work. Good contrast here, the character design looks great, but the background seems to be lacking something. Not that simplicity is bad, it just seems like there could have been something more back there. Overall, a very effective use of tones blacks, and whites.
The moon and that cloud-style... always reminiscent me of Samurai Champloo (in the opening saw I such a sky).
Hmm, but a nice artwork, and balck-and-white style was a good choose!
cool wallpaper XD..oyea the man.. he reminds me of anime Peacemaker Kurogane XD wuaa..nice job yoo i like the background too especially the cloud..looks cute just like a pillow hehe

It looks simple at first but when you look at the stars in the black background then you'll get it.
The character looks like it was lifted from a black and white comic book but very polished and modern.
The swirls around the moon does not easily give away that the wall is under a starry night sky. Very masculine take on this one.
Then the long swoosh from right to left, you'd mistake it that it's the young man's mane but is that the wind blowing instead?
This is a very beautiful art work.
